I'm in love with this place! You really need to be able to spend an entire day so you can see everything, or even a couple days. So many great items others would call junk that I can see made into wonderful treasures in the future. Bring a cart to haul your pickings or use the available carts and wagons. Need to have a bit of knowledge about what items are worth as there are not price tags. You have to find one of the owners/"employees" to ask about prices. I didn't do it, but I'm sure it's OK to bargain/negotiate for best prices but I didn't ask because the prices I was told seemed fair. The 3 I spoke with were friendly, a couple a bit gruff around the edges as old men can be. LOL! I gave a tip since I was there on a very stormy day and these guys were out in the elements all day. There was a canopy near the entrance to stand under during the heavy downpours but not large enough to hold all the shoppers. Snacks and beverages offered. $5 entrance fee. I wish the place was open more than 3 or 4 times a year but as one man said, "then it would be more like a job." Thanks for your hobby! My mind is geared up for the ideas of what I can make with your...
Read moreI really do love this place. If you're someone who enjoys making things out of found junk then this will be your heaven! If you're looking for a flea market, NO this is not that. No new or antique items here. Everything here is sitting outdoors in an open field subjected to the elements, rusty, dirty. Be prepared to get your hands dirty. Be prepared to spend many hours or even days to see everything. Wear good comfortable shoes!!! The guys are great on prices. There is sometimes here those little hot mini doughnuts, but always a tiny snack/soda/water tent. Bring your own drink to carry in a bag or pocket cuz when you're at the other end of the field in the hot sun you're not able to just walk over to the drink tent. Seriously it's like 1/2 mile away or more. This place is huge. They have wagons and wheelbarrow type stuff to cart around stuff you find but the "road" or paths are uneven rocky or sandy. Difficult to push/pull those...
Read moreVery disappointing. It looks great on the outside but once you get past where they charge the $5 admission fee, it’s just fields of rusted, rotting junk that gets left out all year. Nothing is priced, so you have to wander around and find the seller, just for him to try to rip you off. We found a few mason jar lids BURIED under the dirt and grass (not in good condition) and he wanted $40 each saying they were “a piece of history. They obviously weren’t worth that much to begin with, and if he finds them that valuable, why are they left outside to rust and decay? He also wanted $100 for a rusty, broken saw. Complete...
