This is a lengthy one. It took me at least a month to compose myself to write this review because I want it to be thorough and without the emotion of loss, grief, and anger. There are uninformed, reckless, and untrained people in this foundation, Ms Lisa is not one of them. She is the sweetest, and you can tell she's passionate about what she does. A very pure and kind heart. She truly brightens my day and has been a shoulder to cry on. Thank you, and I appreciate you! So, Rules of adoption states you have to bring the adoptee back to get fixed, We acknowledged and adopted this beautiful 2y/o Female tabby Charm alongside twin Male ginger kittens, and they instantly became a family. She bonded with them and nursed them, it was heavenly to watch happen. Then mama Charm went into heat pretty quick, so we called the foundation because at first we thought she was missing her kittens or something sentimental but they told us she was in heat. And we are first time female cat owners so we laughed when we found out that's what it was. We then asked how long heat lasts and the receptionist told us it'll never go away until she has kittens. Misinformation #1. I questioned it but took the word of someone who's job it is to care for animals. We then asked what we should do because her appointment to get fixed was a week away, and is it better sooner or later and she said sooner (middle of her heat cylcle). Misinformation #2. Google tells you right away not to do it, unfortunately once again, I listened to the 'specialist'. Fast farward to the day of surgery, we asked again while at the front desk, 'are you sure this is OK?' yes yes it's fine, the receptionist said. And so we sent Charm off. We went back later that day only for them to tell us to come back the next day, that they would keep her overnight to monitor in a warm box and either take her home (this is the words of the lady vet who's always there) or have someone watch her over night. So we went to say hi to Charm, little did we know that was actually our goodbye. She was looking rough, stiff, cold, the box was not heated, and she just had a small towel. No blanket, nothing. Hard cold cage. The next day, we got the news poor charm didn't make it. We picked her up and brought her home so we could say our final goodbye. She's laying peacefully, and has a beautiful rose bush growing above her that gets lots of sun. This could have all been avoided though, we lost a good companion for nothing! Heartbreaking! It's one thing for us to be uneducated about female cats, but why is a foundation who helps animals, giving false information to patrons? OK even if the receptionists are uneducated as well, why is a medical professional accepting animals in heat for such a complicated surgery? This is not right! What's worse is the male surgeon that operated on Charm called us all jolly like giving us hope only to tell us she passed. Gut wrenching! So people, please learn from our mistake and DO NOT fix your fur baby in heat. The risk is exponential, and not worth it. I won't get into details but if you want to educate yourselves further, Google will tell you why it's a risk.

The place is so fancy! clean but I only saw the front. I took a dog home with me...she was the sweetest thing but apparently was exhibiting different behaviors with me and the dogs at shelter. I was told she was good with other dogs. that between the fence she was not aggressive with her pound mates. MY BAD FOR NOT OBSERVING THIS FIRST BEFORE TAKING HER HOME....HINDSITE' THEY DIDN'T BRING HER OUT WHILE THERE WAS ANOTHER DOG IN THE WAITING ROOM...I brought her home 3.5 hours a way and she was totally aggressive with other dogs and animals...even startled me a bit...she is indeed aggressive with other dogs... she is pitty breed...So important to know this information...BEFORE LEAVING WITH THE DOG...I've owned two pits before each for over a decade...so it's not that I'm inexperienced with the breed...but I was not prepared for her aggressive behavior..I should have been told at least... it's extremely hard to believe she was not aggressive through fence after witnessing her behavior with other dogs....i was so so sad...I took her to petsmart...aggressive. I live with 30..lol.. yes...30 roommates that have dogs over occasionally.... after the aggressive behavior I took her back. I also noticed she was pretty mouthy... nibbles on the chin the hand, the the arm... no previous warning about that either... I'm so thankfull I chose to foster her first.. otherwise I'd have been out the $225.00 adoption fee...I CAN'T BELIEVE the shelter just letting her go without more warning.... SHE'S A PIT BULL BREED....IF SHE HURT A DOG OR PERSON... THEN SHE'S MADE OUT TO BE A BAD DOG AND ME A BAD OWNER.....I THINK WITH PITTY BREEDS SHELTERS NEED TO BE MORE CAREFUL WITH LETTING THESE BREEDS GO. SHE'S THE KIND OF DOG THAT WILL BE A FABULOUS PET BUT NEEDS WORK FIRST.. I asked when I got there when I was bringing hing her back if I could observe her with other dogs...that request was literally ignored by shelter staff and dog was taken back to the back with an explanation of how dogs act different at shelter versus their new environment. Ok.. maybe so...no willingness to even allow me to see her through the fence..no suggestions on anything to help.. nothing...so frustrating. I called several trainers and was willing to work with her with help of shelter...BUT NOPE NOTHING FROM THEM.....I felt like loser and like I was taking her back to a prison..I just hope someone who can handle her adopts her... she's a really great dog for a person who lives alone... NO KIDS DUE TO HER NIPPY TENDANCIES...AND DEFINITELY NO OTHER DOGS UNLESS YOU HAVE A TRAINER OR KNOW HOW TO OVERCOME THE AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS THAT SHE HAS TOWARDS OTHER DOGS....I THINK THE SHELTER IS DOING GREAT THINGS....but I feel duped...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE MORE CAREFUL WITH LETTING PIT BULL DOGS GO WITHOUT PROPERLY VETTING THEM AND POTENTIALLY AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS. I'M GOING SHE GETS ADOPTED TO THE RIGHT FAMILY.

We love our newest addition to our family ruby❤ she's a beautiful husky German Shepard mix she had been transferred from one shelter to another until we found her, poor baby went in at 5 months old and finally got her forever home at 2 years old. Idk how to post pics otherwise I would, to my surprise she came home already potty trained and quite well mannered. Thank you so much for giving our family the opportunity to welcome her into our life's. The staff was wonderful and quite helpful with my other dog we had to introduce them, and with my two toddlers lol they were a handful after a long drive. We appreciate you guys ❤

This is long, but pleaae read to the end. We fostered to adopt a small dog (breed unknown) on July 4. We had her for 9 days when she suddenly went into labor. This was a major shock for us and we called Babinski right away to find out what to do. A vet called us back hours later and told us to just let her do her thing and if any of them died "it was fine because no one wants them anyways." They claimed they didn't know she was pregnant even though they had had her for about 45 days and she weighs 8 pounds.

A few days and 6 puppies later, we called to let them know how many she had and asked what to do next. They didn't say much other than to call in a few weeks for their first shots. We brought them a month later to get their first check up. They said that we could get a 25% discount on a pup if we wanted and that the price was $250.

Fast-forward to today. Pups are 9 weeks old and we haven't heard a single thing from the foundation. The only correspondence we have had was initiated by us. We called them this morning to see if we could drop them off today to get adopted out. We had asked if we could keep them and find owners ourselves so they didnt have to go to the shelter and were told no. When we brought them back, minus 2 puppies we planned to adopt, they didn't even know why we were there and thought we were just bringing them for another check-up because they were due. Not sure how we would have known that since they never told us when to come back or called us to schedule anything. Anyways, at that time they told us that we needed to get the other puppies back for shots and if we wanted them they would be $425 each with no discount because they were specialty puppies. Ummm...you don't know what breed they are, so how are they specialty puppies?!

While there they threated to call the police numerous times, had four staff members standing behind the counter with arms crossed staring at us to intimidate, while I stood there attempting to wrangle 4 puppies by myself and called us liars. They told us they would be contacting our county sheriff to get the last two pups since we didn't have them there as we planned to adopt them.

I dont know how this is going to play out the rest of the way. We never intended to rip them off or get something for nothing, but we cared for these puppies for 9 weeks with absolutely no support of any kind from them and believed them when they said they would give us the 25% discount on $250 for each dog. If you ever decide to do anything with them, get it in writing and be prepared for a fight if things don't...
