So second time we purchased from Scott. First time we purchase a dart board game along with an arcade. He promised how he services the games and would come to home if need be. Then when we had problems with arcade(making loud noise) he said he would replace motor that he never did. Which we overlooked and bought again. Second time we bought another dart game and pool table. He called us and asked if we wanted a jukebox that another guy didnât want which we had been wanting one so said ok. Mistake!! First of all he had stressed he would deliver items and his guys would set them all up and make sure they are all working properly and that everything would be fixed on machines. The guy came and didnât even know he had to take to basement(even tho we gave Scott pics and dimensions) so we had to help. Then we helped get them to basement which was very hard if I might add. The jukebox top lights and cds were not lighting up or spinning. The guy couldnât fix. So I called Scott and told him that and he said it was his delivery guys fault that he should have checked it before he took to basement and told me to load it back up and I said oh no we canât take it back up steps. I told him I just would like for him to send a service man out as he had stressed is something he does for his customers. He then told me that they donât service on site and he was mad at his delivery guy and that we need to just load it back up and I proceeded to tell him that we barely got it down there after he promised his guys would take care of everything and that there was no way we could carry it back up the steps. He then said I had to and i responded with this is not my issue and he hung up on me. We then realized the dart board isnât even working. So we called another company thatâs going to come out and service. Scott talks a big talk about how he makes sure he brings the games In tip top shape and how his guys will come out and service them along with delivering them. Donât believe him!!! This is not what he will do!!! He will not service and only send one guy for heavy items and not bring them in the best of shape. He will take your money and run!!! All his employees will tell you he tells you what you want to hear as well and then doesnât follow thru! Go...
Read moreHave shopped with Scott multiple times and generally ignore the small issues; he will regularly send things he describes as nice with large blemishes or patchwork to hide issues. We have experienced techs, so we just write them up as a repair thatâs easy for anyone with arcade or pinball knowledge. Most of what they sell is not as described.
After their large loss due to the fire I decided to spend a large sum with Scott; $6000 or so in August and around $8000 this past week. I am alright with the games he sent me, though they arenât as described. His driver was late which cost me a few hundred dollars in staffing; so late we had to push the delivery to the next day. The Hoop Fever games he brought and described as nice and working great had busted plexi and ball guards, were filthy inside and out, the coin mechs were hacked to pieces and the credit button wasnât present. He also didnât include the hardware needed so we had to send an employee to go get parts to even assemble and test them. Oh, and he left the locks on so we had to break into them to do anything.
Next, the Golden Tee he sent wasnât just the wrong cabinet but wasnât even the right style. It was a cut down cabinet with the incorrect software and many, many physical issues including busted wood around the base, which we agreed upon $3300 for. He offered a âdiscountâ of $300 when he would have listed that game for less than $3000. Upon bringing the correct one, he demanded the $300 owed for it.
I have been a friend to Scott, spent tens of thousands with him and referred him tens of thousands more in game sales. I will not give Scott not refer him any business again. The fact he could bring machines with so many issues and consider $300 a discount, only to reneg on it is appalling. He is truly the businessman who will cling to $1 to throw away $100. Buy with caution or only if youâre able to do...
Read morePurchased two Skeeballs, a Galaga, a Pac-Man cabinet, and a pinball machine. We were given a guarantee that everything would be repaired and it would play like new when we received it. You would have more luck just following YouTube videos and restoring your own cabinet and then buying from these people. All of our machines were full of cut wires, dust, and old candy. Not still in the wrapper candy mind you, Iâm talking about chewed gum stuck to the inside panels, a literal lollipop stuck to the JAMMA board. If they canât even clean their machines out before delivery, donât expect them to getting them into working order either. Every single thing we purchased had been serviced extensively from after arrival. $1000 more in parts and service, after a guarantee of a working order machine. These guys are eBay flippers and scammers, thatâs there real business. They seemed upset we came in person to look at the machines, and let me tell you, they are not stored or maintained well. Look up a local Buy/Sell/Trade arcade group in your area, youâll be better off than getting ripped of at Donâs Amusements. What a joke, take your...
