Missouri Welcome Center — Local services in Peru

This was a breath of fresh air as you enter the building with 3 vending machines at one end and 3 at the other. The restrooms are spacious and clean. Clean. No one there has change. There is a store-tpe area which is other side of building that has only literature and information, but no change. Info for All your queries to be sure. 3 ladies worked there. One man vacuumed the entryway rugs while another man was dusting the floor. Two other women (in maintenance dept) came to wipe up a spill when someone spilled a soda. Too many employees. But good place to meet others as there are multiple benches...

It was dark and past midnight. I had signed a check this @$$ couldn't cash. Driving on a road trip with just me and the kids OMG why😱😱😱😱😱😱 Anyway, just as I prayed, "Lord, TAKE THE WHEEL!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭I saw a sign for the welcome center!!! I pulled over a took a fifteen minute nap and was back on the road ready to roll in no time. The kids were still asleep so it was great! I didn't go inside or see anyone who worked there but I'm glad it was there with lighting and a parking lot and a restroom had I needed...

Nice place. Friendly and considerate staff person who was cleaning and warned us of the wet floors. Take note that the government of Missouri apparently has chosen to give preferential treatment to people who are driving “low emitting fuel efficient” vehicles. The closest 6 parking spaces next to the handicapped spaces are reserved for them. They were empty the whole time our family picnicked there, except for one vehicle that I never saw the owners of during the 30 - 40 minutes...
