Food Lion — Local services in Petersburg

Stood in line at the Customer service for Almost 10 minutes only 2 people in front of me they were buying lottery tickets the Assistant Manager was the one at the counter. No one even spoke to me, the Assistant Manager wouldn't even look at me she turned her back to the register waiting for all the tickets to print. She said to another employee just walked in. That person went to the back of the store then came up front and took the managers place, she took the second lottery customer the Assistant Manager said excuse me as she walked passed me opening the swinging door. Then when it was my turn I asked my question and was told the person who would know that doesn't come in until 10. So I asked, doesn't the Assistant Manager know how to do it. Then she asked another employee and she said "Yes, but it's just such a busy day. We have inventory." I think that Food Lion should rethink their priorities. I have never gone to a customer service business where employees avoid eye or look right at you and don't speak. If the Assistant Manager does that what does that show the...

I read all reviews on this store and I wonder if I'm going crazy. This store isn't stocked well. Just about every aisle has empty spots. Today I went in later than usual. I'm a early shopper most days. Today I arrived around 2:15pm. Noticed different cashiers than in am. The young lady checked me out bagged my groceries placed them in the baggers area. She then took my money gave me my receipt and turned her back on me and started a conversation with another cashier. She never offered to put bags in my cart. The worst part is that I'm handicapped in both arms. One with a bandage the other is obviously not in great shape. She seemed more interested in talking about a jacket and trot on then giving good service. I will go to Dollar General or Family Dollar next time I need somethg and cant get to this store in the am. BTW I'm aware of the call in convenience however shouldn't they have those spots in back of lot not were handicapped...

Never have a bad encounter at this Food Lion but this young girl cant remember her name but she was working on 12 check out 1 day ago gave me the most dirtiest look because I had a basket full of groceries. She said that was too much for her line. I had to go somewhere else that’s fine y’all need to get rid of her. So I went over the the older laddy that doesn’t mind working with the glasses and tip her 10 bucks for being nice and not complaining that I had to much in my basket shmmm this area sure is different form short pump I’m out here for work just remember how u treat people in life because u don’t know who that person is if u don’t want your job at...
