I had hoped for a simple trim and long layers, but my experience at this salon has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. I booked an appointment with Terry, explained multiple times that I only wanted a trim and long layers, and showed her an inspo picture. I have thick, curly hair, and I explicitly asked her not to cut off the length. Unfortunately, she did exactly the opposite, cutting far too much off, and left me with a style that looked more like a mullet than the long, blended layers I requested. After seeing the final result and realizing how bad it was, I reached out to Terry, who apologized and offered to fix it. But, I didnāt feel comfortable going back to her. I decided to contact the owner, Jeannie, hoping for a resolution. The problems began when Jeannie scheduled my appointment at her Phelan location (which is farther away than her Victorville salon), telling me it was closer to me, which it wasnāt. Additionally, she changed the appointment time three times in one day, which was frustrating and showed a lack of organization. When I arrived at the Phelan salon, things took a turn for the worse. Jeannie immediately dismissed my concerns and, within minutes, told me āIām not arguing with you anymoreā when I was simply explaining my feelings and the situation. She seemed upset, but instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she made me feel like my feelings didnāt matter. Her behavior was unprofessional and left me stunned. She did fix the cut (after admitting it wasnāt done well to begin with) but also insisted that the bad cut was a "Jennifer Aniston haircut" ā a style I didnāt ask for. I wasnāt there for trends; I wanted my hair to be the way I requested. To make matters worse, she gave me hair products, first claiming they were for a scalp issue and later saying they would help my hair grow ā neither of which made any sense. The lack of professionalism and poor communication made a simple haircut appointment feel like an ordeal. Itās clear the owner, Jeannie, values renting out chairs over maintaining a quality experience for her clients. Itās sad because I thought Iād be taken seriously, but instead, I got attitude, miscommunication, and a stressful experience. I wonāt be returning, and I highly suggest the owner take business and customer service classes to learn how to treat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't go to Earl Knight Salon & Parlour. They say one price and charge you double. I don't have any problem paying the price that was quoted for fair work but when you charge double just because you can is wrong..
Around April 6, my gf went in to get her hair dyed blonde. She first went in earlier that week for an in person consultation, and they quoted around 250, they ended up charging 450. I forgave that error because it seemed like a good bit of work. After that appointment concluded, they told her that root touch ups will be 150 and to come back in 6 to 8 weeks.
So she goes back in May and they do the root touch up and at the end they charge her $300. She claims she'd charge less but she has to crhage this because the owners there. I try to dispute it with my bank but since we went there once before, and the fact she got her 2 Co-workers to lie about it to the bank the bank I lost the dispute. I would have no problem paying the proper quoted price, and I even payed them more than they quoted for the first consultation the first time she went. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. It's my fault for trusting their business after they already lied once.
I try to call the owner and she says "I'm just a landlord, talk to tori" while defending her employees bad faith behavior, who lies about the prices of the Amazon shampoo she buys for 10 bucks and acts like it's worth 80. So of you value honest business then go somewhere else. And remember it's not about the money, I woulda happily paid the amount they quoted even if it was higher.
after I called her to discus this she called us back in a frantic frenzy threatening to sue us because we called and asked why they lied. So please avoid this headache and just find elsewhere. I believe businesses should be honest of they want our hard earned money. These people think they're better than you for some reason. It's sickening how they rip odd people in their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to get my haircut at this establishment and Iām very disappointed in this place. I chose them because they got such good reviews. I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted, then she proceeded to ask another employee how and what to do to start the cut. With every step she had to ask someone for help. I should have gotten up and walked out right then but I didnāt. The cut looks nothing like what I wanted. Then sheās asked me if I wanted her to style it. Isnāt that what youāre supposed to do when a customer comes in for a hair cut?? All she did was run a hot iron over my hair. How is that styling it?? It was already straight, the hot iron did nothing to it. Then she charged me $45. No wash, no blow dry. I was SHOCKED. I could have done what she did to my hair at home and saved the $$. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Too bad thereās no negative star to be given, this...
