HUFFMAN GROCERY — Local services in Philipsburg

Such a great little supermarket! The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. We stopped in after a day of sapphire mining to grab some snacks and look for our favorite maple donuts. They were out on display, but one sweet employee (wish I had gotten her name!) went above and beyond—she offered us one dozen frozen long maple johns that we could bake at home and even included the maple icing. They turned out delicious!

The store may be small, but it’s well-stocked with all the essentials. A perfect stop for locals and travelers alike....

For a rural convenience store / grocery store / mercantile, Huffman's prices were very reasonable. Maybe they go up in the summer when all the tourist hip Phillipsburg, but at least in the winter I didn't find the prices to be that much higher than what I would see at Albertson's, Safeway, or even Walmart in a bigger city. Plus the staff was very friendly and it was cool to be able to go in and get the things you needed without having to fight stockers and other customers in very narrow aisles which seems to be the way of the big...
