Phillips Northern Merchandise — Local services in Phillips

Used to be my favorite place to go for good deals on neat stuff. Until recently, I was walking around the store with my brother (we’re both 18) I’m looking around and so is he. From the second we were in the door the clerk made us feel uncomfortable by following us around, no more than five feet from behind. I went to the upstairs part while my brother continued to look around on the downstairs level. I watched the owner and the clerk approach my brother and try to confront him about stealing and told him, and I at this point, that if we are going to be screwing around to just leave. We were there looking for Dremel ends for my mom and then decided to look around some more and see if there was anything else we would be interested in purchasing. I don’t own or run a business but I do know that when I’m a customer somewhere I like to be treated hospitable and not like a thief. I will never be returning here, there’s no need to treat someone younger than yourself like a thief just because you believe the youth...

I had driven by plenty of times but finally had some spare time to stop in. What a pleasant surprise I had, wondering through the variety of items. The prices are unbelievably lower than I had expected with great quality merchandise. They had a great selection of Christmas decor items to gift giving & packaging. I will definitely have to make a second stop to see the second floor I noticed while...

Love this store. There's a little bit of everything here: from tools and hardware to craft supplies (scrapbook stickers are the most inexpensive around according to my wife) to moderately fashionable home decor (they ALWAYS have something bulldog-ish there).

We go to Phillips at least once per month, and it's a missed opportunity if we can't visit Northern Merchandise while...
