Bounce Then Slide was hired and contracted for a birthday party we were having for our daughter two weeks in advance. We told the person that the party was set for 11am - 1:30 and the time that was given to us for set-up was 8-10am. We ordered a bounce castle with a slide, a couple of tables and a generator to power the bounce castle. At the time, we were told that all of their equipment was in stock and everything was set to go. On Thursday before the party, we received a call at 8pm that we would no longer have a generator as this individual’s boss had apparently booked a balloon party that needed all of the generators. Quite unprofessional, considering we booked the item two weeks beforehand and two days before the party it’s canceled because of poor communication internally or someone paid more. Regardless, we were not told that there were any other issues and the individual said that they would be there between 8-10am on Saturday. Early that morning, I went and rented a generator to compensate for Bounce Then Slide’s shortcoming. However, by 10am we had still not heard from the company regarding setup for the party despite multiple calls and texts. Finally at 10:30, 30 mins prior to the party when every other company would be completely booked up, I heard back from my text to them saying that I would file a complaint and get my deposit back, but I would prefer they just showed up. The response was: “I don’t care” “We are bussy the guys will get to you when they get to you” “call boss” When I responded that I had reached out to his boss he said: “Well I CAN NOT HELP YOU” “I’m very sorry bit not god and nothing I can do very sorry” I ended up having to buy multiple things from Walmart to make up for the fact that we had multiple families coming with small children and they were already in route. Even more entertaining was at 12:30, the delivery driver for the equipment called saying he could be there in an hour…which was again, the time that the party was set to end. There was no professionalism, nor was there any sort of valid communication from the business owner. I’d be embarrassed if my employees spoke with customers that way or conducted business in that manner. I would advise anyone looking for a bounce house/slide to steer very clear of this business. Otherwise, you may be left scrambling 30 minutes before your kid’s party.
To the owner's response below: You are kidding right??? You didn't deliver anything to our house and you sure as hell didn't save the day. After your total and utter lack of communication (busy or not), we bought everything for our party from the store last minute. Your delivery people called to say they could arrive after the party was over and we told them that they must be joking and not to bother. They double booked a slide and then tried to up sell me into a slide twice the cost (can you say bait and switch?) when I told them I don’t think that’s right and they should do it for the same price they offered to give me cash back since they had already charged my card. Which I accepted so I can go get my daughters birthday scheduled. A few moments later they back peddled that as well. I explained my daughters birthday is July 4th and the theme is red white and blue (the color of the slide) giving me a smaller slide/one with lacking features of what I paid for is not ok. So now there is a $450 charge that’s being held on my card and a person in their company that thinks it’s ok to call me a bad person when I told him I would post the text from our conversation to out him and the way they treated me. They refused to answer my calls when I called them back, they threaten to block my number instead of talking with me. They way over promise and under deliver. After arguing with them through text (very unprofessional) they refunded the money. Thanks, I’ll see that in 3-5 business days mean while trying to cover expenses for a new vendor. I was told the bouncer would be delivered on Friday between 10 and 12am I get a text it won't be their until 6pm thats fine I get a call at 730 pm won't be there until 9-930pm they asked if I still wanted it for tonight I said no bring it tomorrow Saturday the next day they showed up on time and at 1030am delivered it and I told them how I was unhappy with the service so far and I was told they will call you in 2 to 3 hours to help with the problems ok so it's Sunday and still no word from the company or when they are picking it up I had to call and I was told we can be out there at 8 pm or on Monday I said I need it gone today Sunday they came and got it and now Monday I finally get a call about the problems that I am having at 330 pm and I'm told that Friday was a freebie and I was lucky that I didn't pay the 70$ trip charge so that alone is a good deal he said I was I laughed and he offered me 25$ my next rental and I laughed again I will never use this...
