This is a great place for a close-to-home Boy Scout outing. Nestled against the base of South Mountain, the site offers camping, hiking, and a wide array of scout activities. There is also a Scout Store where you can by uniforms and other scouting-related items. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and make the best of maintaining a 100 year old facility. Since the facility is undergoing renovations, be advised that you may not have water in the campsite and have to haul it some distance. Other than that, the boys had a great time. Thank you to Chuck, the camp ranger, who made...

Camped here during January for two nights, amazing experience. First off, it's different because there aren't too many bugs. Other than a couple of house flies and some ant hills, the campsite was really nice regarding bugs. Next, the views were breath-taking, especially the Phoenix lights at night. Lastly, the rifle shooting is loads of fun, especially the feel of competing with the rest of my troop. The rifle shooting even has an open shoot every month where scouts can get the rifle shooting MB/NRA...

Fantastic Cub Scout Day Camp that's just the right amount of cheesy for the boys at that age and loads of variety. The boys love the different themes each year and the amenities get nicer each year. They just recently upgraded their concessions store to include a walk-in area with air conditioning, so that's my favorite place! Great staff, fun kids involved in running the program and not too far from everything but feels like you're a world away until you get into the car to leave. I look forward to...

My daughter was attending a summer camp here until I saw the condition of the pool that they had kids between the ages of 5 and 10 swimming in every day. I immediately puller her out and called the health department. The health department instructed them that no one can be in the pool unless they can see the drain. Aside from that, there was ZERO security at pickup time. The kids are turned loose to anyone that shows up to take them.

This is a place of gathering for the Boys and Girls in the BSA. They learn skills together in a coed program rooted in pioneer and woodcrafts skills. Beyond that they learn leadership and team building skills with Merit Badges, Shooting Sports, and over night camping are offered for various events.
