Nellis Vineyards — Local services in Piedmont

I chose Nellis Vineyard because it was a beautiful wedding venue and property. However, I am quite displeased with my personal experience and can not leave a positive review. On the day of the wedding, my hair and makeup staff arrived before I did to set up and prep the wedding party. Linda, the owner of Nellis Vineyards, ended up stopping my hired staff, making a terrible scene, threatening to call the police due to their early arrival. My stylists were kicked off the property, and clearly shaken from the Owner’s unprofessional behavior coming at them. In my original planning and contracts for the wedding, I was told I could get ready on the property. After the property owner’s breakdown, the entire wedding party now had to leave the venue to get ready, costing us more out of pocket expenses and making everyone in the bridal party late for the wedding, while our guests (some that flew over 2000 miles away) waited for us to arrive/start. In the contract we were supposed to stay in the Loft cabin on property that night, but after the Owner, Linda was yelling, cursing and receiving such poor treatment- we felt it was best to not stay there, ruining our wedding night honeymoon plans. If you’re here wondering if you should reserve Nellis Vineyards….Just Do It! It is a gorgeous venue. So much love is poured into the property. My daughter and SIL were married here 9/23/23. The beautiful story started as a bride’s worst nightmare! The venue we had originally selected decided to start a remodel SIX weeks prior to the wedding. Changing so much of what my daughter fell in love with. It crushed her. She decided she was going to cancel the wedding altogether. I thought, not on my watch! I started calling everyone. No one would call me back. We just happened to see Nellis Vineyards so I called. Miss Linda was so caring and empathetic and invited us out that day. We actually loved it more than our original venue and our wedding date was available!! It was meant to be! Six weeks later my daughter and SIL had the wedding of their dreams. Linda and Laura made sure it was perfect. We have some of the best memories here and now consider them family! 🩷 Side note….our caterer reserved the property the next day to propose to his girlfriend and celebrate...

My wife and I decided last minute to book a weekend away for our 11th wedding anniversary. Being that it was spring break also proved to make what seemed to be an easy task, turned into a very difficult task. We finally landed on Nellis Vineyard and we booked the cottage right away. Like all previous attempts the cottage was already booked on Airbnb. But Linda Nellis contacted me directly and said they had a loft available. My wife and I loved it! It is a beautiful property, loaded with beautiful nature all around. Linda and Laura made our last minute stay wonderful. Wine tasting and great food and a party atmosphere the night of our anniversary. We plan on returning when it’s time to harvest the grapes. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a home away from home without the stresses...
