I had resisted writing a review, but my cumulative experiences have pushed me over the edge. A few months ago, my air conditioner went out and I called this company for help. At the time of that call, I indicated that I needed a new heating/cooling system and asked if they would be able to do it same day or next day, to which I was told yes. They came to my house to check it out and told me what I already knew... I needed a new system. I was then charged for the appointment and set up to talk with one of the owners of the company, Chris Carpenter, to explore my options. A few days later, he came to my house to give me quotes for what I needed. During the quote, Chris only provided quotes on their own system, which cost around $4400-$4800. I asked for other options that would be less expensive, which he stated would be around $2800; however, he refused to give me specific prices for those systems and had no specific details. He then became angry as I asked questions because he wasn't able to dupe me into purchasing something unnecessarily expensive. He then asked me if I was married and who would be financing the purchase, which was incredibly inappropriate. After his expressions of frustration, he proceeded to hit on me and call me beautiful, which was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable due to the fact that I am a 25 year old woman and was home alone at the time of the meeting. By the way, Chris is married with children and much older than me.
Fast forward to today, I had purchased a service prior to my bad experience and had one more appointment left that was part of the plan. I received a call from Bri who reported that the technician was at my home. I looked outside and saw him, walked downstairs and opened the door. However, he never came in. I then watched him drive down the street and sit in his car. My door bell never rang, and I never received a phone call. So I called Service Now back to indicate that I think the technician is confused or lost, as he had previously been at the correct address. They told me they would redirect him. I received a call back from Bri indicating that the technician had been attempting to ring my doorbell, but I was not answering. Funny thing is, I saw him sitting in his car down the street and never get out. Further, I was standing at my front door the entire time.
Overall this company has no respect or morals. They are willing to lie to their customers, rip them off, and make women feel uncomfortable in their own homes. I've never been treated this way and will not...
   Read moreOur furnace went out at 9pm on a cold January Wednesday and when I got home from work I started calling all the local companies that were open 24 hours and only 2 responded, Service now and 4 seasons, 4 seasons responded first saying they would return our call at 8am but George from service now called back at 430am to see if they could help and again he called us back after we initially said no because we thought the other place would help us, we waited until 7am for 4 seasons to say oh we don't service your area. George returned our call and we explained what was wrong and the codes the furnace kept flashing and he told us what it might be and the cost, we mentioned we thought it was time for a new furnace and he said possibly and set up an appointment for a few hours later with Chris to look at our equipment. Chris was on time and patient and understanding to our circumstances, he checked our furnace and agreed it was time for an upgrade and left us a few space heaters to help keep the house comfortable while he had a meeting he had to attend and then to check their stock, their office spent alot of time helping us get financed and when he returned at 4pm after my wife returned from work he showed us the 4 models he felt best suited our homes size and needs and helped us set a package that included a new central air conditioner as well because our current one was starting to go last summer. Chris had a team at our house first thing Friday morning after I took my son to school and the 2 guys they sent out were real nice and friendly even though one had to be outside working on the air conditioner for a good portion of the time and they finished about 2 hours ahead of schedule that they told me when they originally arrived.    Read moreIn the fall of 2019 I needed my 27-yr-old furnace replaced, and decided to add central air at the same time. I contacted a local company who at that time had good reviews, and who had apparently been maintaining my furnace (based on the stickers attached) before I bought the property. So furnace and a/c components were installed. At the end, the installer said I would need to hire an electrician to do the final hook up. However, he neglected to mention that my electrical service panel was full and would not support an a/c unit! I found that out by calling in two other electricians for an estimate to "hook up my a/c." The cost of upgrading or replacing my panel at that time meant that I had an inoperable a./c system sitting for a year and a half. Had I known that up front, I would have made different decisions about the a/c installation!
Now enter Service Now Home Services. I called them to come out and do my annual furnace cleaning and inspection last fall, and after a good experiene with Greg I asked about doing something for the a/c. He came back with a reasonable estimate, so after a few months I was ready to go ahead with the project.
Chris came out to perform the electrical work, and he was very open and helpful -- answering all my questions and offering advice for getting the original contract with the other (now under different ownership) company completed. Chris installed a new service box and patiently explained what needed to be done on the a/c in order for it to be cleared for use. His help allowed me to state my case with the original a/c installers and have the final inspection and start up completed.
Everyone I have dealt with at Service Now Home Services, from the person who answers calls to the three techs I had out, were super! I will turn to this local and responsive company for all my future...
