Runnings — Local services in Pierre

Unfortunately I can't Give this Runnings 5 stars. I have lived here for 5 years now and frequent runnings for pet, fishing and hunting needs. Today I had my first bad experience with this store. I found everything I was looking for. I got my dog food and looked around the sporting goods area for a bit. My dog had fun meeting new people and other dogs. Every other time that I have been in this store the employees have all been nice and friendly to me and to my dog with treats on hand for my dog. But todays experience was a negative one when I got to the checkout. The cashier was neither friendly to me or to my dog. She was actually down right rude and seemed offended that she had to raise her arms off the counter to scan my items. She ignored my dog all together. For a pet friendly store she was not very friendly at all. I like to bring my dog here because of the experience that she should have had had from a pet friendly store employee. I do know that I will be at this store again and will not utilize her checkout even if I have to wait for an hour at another check out stand. I will also request another cashier if she is the only one at the check out.. I and my dog did not feel very welcome...

I bought most of my guns at this location. They sell reliable ARs, large hand guns, and concealed carry weapons. The staff are very honest and won't be afraid to be blunt. There are some specialists that offer reliable advise. I bought a compound bow and got fitted perfectly without any issues. The prices are average and some products are cheaper than walmart. Clothes are very sturdy as well as the tools. They have some out door recreation item like pop up gazibos, swings, out door decor, and anything else that helps with home improvement. Customer service discriminate against my granddaughter. 2 of the ladies were rude. My granddaughter got me a cart to haul a plant into store a worker told my granddaughter don't be steeling their carts. My niece ask about the sale the casher was rude when the worker outside was helpful and told us something different about the sale. I called about a lawnmower part I ask they guy how much he told me 6.00 i paid 16.00 for the part. Shouldn't judge people by race so stupid SMH. Just because we ain't white don't mean we are dirty. Workers need to know their sales and learn to be nice. Sorry don't cut...
