Quality Foods — Local services in Pikeville

Always far to expensive. Sometimes it feels like price gouging. Really don't care much for the place, but being local I guess that's the price you pay. Also, I have had absolutely zero luck with buying vegetables they put out themselves, and package themselves as 'Fresh', couldn't be further from the truth. After several trips and coming home to find mold, or rotted spots on the underside (The side you can't see) I have decided to stop buying them there. Even though they are only minutes away from where I live, I'd rather take the long trip to Pikeville, for Food City or Walmart.

It was only a few days ago, I went and got a 6 pack of tomatoes that they supplied and packaged themselves, only to bring them home and find the side that was not visible in the package, were completely rotted and moldy. Some may say, just take them back. Yeah, if it were only one or two occasions, not a big deal but, when it's every single time, that's not acceptable at all. It shouldn't be the customers responsibility to let them know their fruits and vegetable are ruined, or ensure they don't sell them. They should be ahead of the game on this issue.

Along with the insanely high prices, the rotted fruits and vegetable, I would advise if you can, go somewhere else. On a really good note, all the cashiers and others who work in the store, are super nice, friendly and extremely helpful. Some of the nicest I...

A nice little grocery store. It's a bit pricy but the location makes up for it. The workers are amazing and the store is clean. You can request items and they I'll try their best to get them for ya and ya ask for more than that.
