Powder Keg Farm — Local services in Pine Grove Township

I am editing my review as since that time this property has sprung to life.

I have not personally entered either of the two green houses. Though I must add the colorful and hearty plants the owners carefully placed outside of the entrances will draw your attention.

If your a flower / plant enthusiast i'd venture to say stop in. I've heard through the grapevine the buildings are filled with exotic plants and even small trees.

One particular day I saw some of the workers making fresh lemonade to sell.

To note, I'm a little late in the season editing my review so I suggest you double check the off season hours before making the trip. Though I have a feeling if you can't catch them this year, they'll be in full bloom come next spring / summer.

Congratulations to the owners for truly bringing back a piece of agriculture to the area.

Please ignore the rest of this review. I'm only keeping it as a reminder of how short sighted I was. Time can change and heal almost anything if given the opportunity.

Looking at the parcel located at supposed location of 4 Swopes Valley Rd I noticed a rundown barn, sections of greenhouse framing laying on the ground, and what appears to be a telecommunication shelter.

I have searched high and low in local newspapers, magazines, and other sources of advertising only to come up empty on what exactly is being grown at this farm.

The only resident of the farm house located at 24 Swopes Valley Rd said he has zero knowledge of any business being operated on his property for quite a number of years. His family's Christmas Tree business having been closed since 2018.

It is a shame that Powder Keg Farms LLC is more like a ghost town then an active farm since it would have been nice to see this area regain some of its lost...
