Last week, our daughter had the opportunity to participate in the 2023 World Teen Championship. This was our second time visiting the course, and it didn't fail to impress us once again.
Pinehurst #6, without a doubt, is a golfer's paradise.
The strategically placed hazards, relaxing atmosphere, undulating greens, and captivating scenery made each hole a unique challenge. The course demands precision and strategy, and it was a delight to watch our daughter navigate through it with skill and determination. The tournament's organization was top-notch. The event coordinators and staff worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and seamless operation, making it easy for the participants and their families to navigate through the competition. Pinehurst #6 has certainly become one of our favorite courses, and we can't wait to return for future tournaments....
Read morePinehurst # 6 is a real sleeper of a course when compared to the more famous of the Pinehurst courses specifically #2. The greens are large and not nearly as penalizing as either course # 2 or course # 4. The holes on this course have a nice variety of difficulty, if there is a downside there is out of bounds on every hole, the good news (if going out of bounds) is good news is that your ball can generally be found in someone's backyard. Gently sweeping dog-leg holes add to a layout that's full of interest and variety. Each hole is memorable in its own right. The challenging back-nine feels more natural and scenic, and contains some of the layout's best holes.
