In 1996, I worked at Skateville when the owners were still living on site and taking an invested interest in establishing Skateville as a profitable long term business. 10 years ago, I decided to bring my young children here so they too could experience the magic I always felt when I walked through the doors. I was disappointed to see the kids of the owners had not added one new thing and what had been here when I worked here, was declining. The magic was still here because not many remembered the time before when things were truly great. Skip forward to now and I'm so disappointed, I felt the need to leave a review. First, they charge parents full price of 10 dollars just to watch. I am not that parent who will leave her younger children with all these people alone without my supervision. In fact, by me staying here keeping my kids in order, I'm doing Skateville a service by not leaving my kids for them to babysit... So explain to me why I have to pay the entire 10 dollars to be a good parent. Second, my daughter can only skate on inline skates. Hers are too small so we brought cash to rent a pair. We were told they were out. As I'm at the bench picking up the other skates for my other kids, I'm watching inline skates being returned. I also saw the same front door guy that told me he was out, give unlines to other people who came in after us. To recap, we weren't told they were out of sizes or that certain sizes were on hold for someone else, I was told they were out of inline skates to rent... Period. The kids in here are rude, jumping on tables, knocking kids over, etc... No one is "policing" the rowdy kids even though there are 6 workers/employees behind the concession/skates platform. This place is nothing like what the owners envisioned it could be. The workers are beyond rude. I understand Pineville is limited in clean entertainment for kids... But...
Read moreI honestly wish I didnât have to give 1 star. Absolutely will not be back. Very unorganized and not a well put together business. This establishment has definitely went downhill. All started from the white officer telling the non white customers to line up in a single file line but not doing the same for the white customers. Then not having an adequate amount of food to feed the customers. If you come with a large party and do not book a âpartyâ then expect to just figure out you gonna feed your people because you will be told they donât have enough of this and that so you will have to piece food together to accommodate. Asked if they could cook a whole pizza and was told they only offer that for paid parties even though we had 12 people with us. Asked to see if we could speak to the owner but âmanagerâ came out and said we just piece together some food. Food was cold and barely cooked. Not to mention there is not enough staff which I do understand that is a problem for everyone right now. When Tony and Jill was the owners, it was ran way better and didnât have these problems. Being here was stressful with the chaos going on. We said last time would be our last time there after the racism shown but this definitely is the LAST time we will ever go there. Lessons learned. Terrible place to go! Air U, Fun on the Geaux or Cenla Play we will go to from now on. So sad because this used to...
Read moreParents have to pay $5 just to get in. The lady at the front register was terribly rude, service was horrible. I have 4 kids and 3 of the 4 had to change their skates bc staples were coming through the soles. I used to skate here 18 years ago and they still have the same skates! The bathroom doors are like saloon doors and theres at least a 2 inch gap where anyone can see you using the restroom. Worst part of it all, the little PVC walkers with wheels to help assist kids who cannot skate were all rented out and weren't even being used by the kids. Theres no time limit so others can have a chance to use them. Once they're gone they're gone. Your out of luck!! They only have about 4 or 5 little ones and the same for the bigger ones. Very very frustrated with Skateville as I've been coming here for many years but this will be my last time coming...
