We were quite excited to come check out Efurds today, the property was cute but the customer service was a coin flip of what youd get. The flys were bothersome, yes i know its a farmers market and yes i have been to another without the same issue which is why i suppose the standard was set high. The produce was sourced from elsewhere, the zucchini we bought was brought in from dallas. Good size but it wouldve been nice if it was openly disclosed they were brought from somewhere else. The ice cream was good, i enjoyed it. If i was passing through and happened to wind up there i would definitely purchase it again. But i wouldn't make a 30 minute trip out to get it. I was so excited for good peaches, the first one i cut into i sliced completely through it and the pit was rotten and covered in splotches of dark green and white mold. The second i sliced straight through, the seed was mushy the third peach though labeled with the ripe was still green on the inside. Hoping for better on the fourth. I will not be returning. Very sad about the turn out with the prized peaches as they are possibly my favorite fruit. Update: out of 7 “ripe” peaches i have found 2 decent where the pit isnt rotted or under developed and the flesh isnt hard. The flesh is still very firm and not ripe, the fruit is watery with a chemically taste. No good peach flavor. With how under developed the pits are it is my conclusion that these peaches were not properly ripened on the tree but picked early to encourage the trees to produce more. All in all a disappointment that i could find better...
Read moreLet me first say that to "STAY AWAY FROM THE ICE CREAM". The reason I say this is because it does not have the taste of the fruit you wanted. They have many flavors and I choose blueberries because I like blueberries. Also it cost $5.50 for a "small" but ok I thought for the price it had to be good and it was not. Yes the taste was sweet but I did not get any taste of blueberries in my ice cream. I had to concentrate hard on seeing if I could taste any but I only got very small fragments of it. So please do not buy unless you have kids then go for it. Now that's out of the way I can talk about the rest. Inside there is a lot of stuff to buy like jams, sauces, vegetables, and fruit. The prices seemed a bit high for vegetables and fruit in my eye but I saw people buying them so I guess they did not mind. I would tell you to ask questions about what they have because not everything comes from the farm and it's from any other farm. Find someone who is in charge to ask questions before you buy that way you will understand what you are buying. I would come to this place again...
Read moreIf I were to write about my entire experience with these people it would take several pages. Suffice it to say that they are as a family (from the blonde daughter who is manipulative and backed by her brother and parents) does not know the meaning of customer service...at least toward SOME people. African Americans are called, and I quote, "You people" and treated with no tolerance and concern for their needs. The employees are quite accommodating, professional and kind in extreme contrast to the owners. The "ripes" as they are called were sold at a discounted rate but have some hidden at the bottom of the box that were rotten and inedible. They practice stacking, where the better looking peaches are on top even with the good fruit. Pricing is non-competitive compared to McPeak which is right down the road. Quality is secondary and customer service for some people is nonexistent. Google orchards and you will find that they are not the only game in town. Going forward I will leave their culturally biased owners to the culture they...
