In addition to our annual water treatment appointment, I decided to have EnviroSafe check our oil heater. Jacob Thompson arrived and was very affable and professional. He quickly began to survey our heater explaining everything he was looking at and for. He didn’t mind me hovering and asking questions the entire time. A rare find and a great learning experience for me. It was clear that previous technicians from other companies had failed to look at the heater thoroughly and perform close examinations. Jacob closely examined every functioning part and aspect of the heater. An extremely thorough analysis. He even verified an incorrect part had been installed. After making recommendations, he ordered the parts and returned three days later and spent an entire day overhauling the heater and giving it new life. Additionally, he replaced the vent pipe and made changes to an old electrostatic air filtering system. When I had told him to make repairs and upgrades as if it was his system, he did just that. Upon completion, Jacob spent plenty of time vacuuming and cleaning up as if he were never there. Afterward, he showed me his work and I marveled. It was so clean I was taken aback. I told him he could have been a surgeon. Ha! As it was getting later, I thought he was done for the day. Jacob said, “OK, now for the water system.” I couldn’t believe that after all that he pleasantly moved on to another major task instead of returning another day. Coffee and dinner were politely refused as he chugged right along. When he was finished, he was as pleasant and friendly as when he arrived. Where do guys like him come from?, I wondered. I said, “I hope you know that you’re now my personal technician and I’ll be asking for you by name in the future, right?” I think he appreciated that as he smiled hands and clothes all covered in soot and heating oil. 10/14/25 - Had my water treatment system serviced today. As always the work of Envirosafe (Ace Hardware Home now) was efficient and effective. Our tech today was Calvin Clark who is always amazing. He figured out a very difficult problem in our system last year and continues to show a very impressive skill set. Glad to know that our system is safe in his hands.

I want to give a big shout-out to my tech today Sam Wilkens. He went above and beyond today and handled more than just water treatment equipment maintenance - and did it with great skill. I appreciated his communication throughout the process, always letting me know the current status of the work. He was professional but very personable. A great guy working for a great local company!

July 2 - Needed plumbing service again only a week later and Envirosafe, once again, came to the rescue. Sam Wilkins expertly replaced the strainer and seal in my kitchen sink w/ garbage disposal and completely solved the leak problem. Thanks Sam for another job well done! It’s unbelievable I have to make this review. I scheduled my appointment on 10/9 for maintenance on 10/30. I didn’t hear from anyone so sent a message asking if they will still be coming. I received a message saying yes between 12-2. I was then called and said your technician is doing a repair and he will be there by 3:30. 3:30 came and went. I had to reach out to them to see where they were. They advised me the technician is finishing up and will be there by 4:30 or earlier. Well guess what 4:30 came and went. I then got a call from the technician that said i should be there in 24 minutes. When i said that time is to late they asked would you like to reschedule? Really? For what so i can go through this all over again the next time just to hear the same run around?

Honestly, I think they forgot I was even on the schedule, refused to even acknowledge that, tried to over work their employees and fit me in somewhere in between their other appointments. Customers make appointments at certain times for certain reasons and being hours late without even reaching out is unacceptable.
