I have many reasons to do large order business with them, but I can never agree on anything about them. Unfortunately, today was my final straw. I was buying an animal waste product from them. Is it a useful item that they use? Yes. Is it something they throw away? Also yes. I was given a price quote over the phone that I agreed on despite knowing I can get it free elsewhere. I showed up to pay, and they wanted 4x the quoted price. After asking why they settled on only 2x the price. After sticking to my original price they tried 1.59x. I declined. They were lucky I offered to buy the literal trash to begin with. I am not mad at this situation despite how it may seem, but it is a shame that nobody benefits from the needless price hike. I would be buying half of cows or more from them as well, but the price for what it is just isn't right. I will state that despite all of my personal experience with them my family and friends buy small scale from them and they are happy with their experiences. I love passing through this town, for Joe's Butcher Shop alone. The beautiful meats are fresh and cut or trimmed to order. The staff is pleasant, very knowledgeable about the products and professional. I always check the specials first. They carry various combinations of box packages that can be a great deal depending on your need. The regular prices are surprisingly reasonable as well. The selection of fresh sausage is a must see. Italian spicy, Italian sweer, and sage sausages are our favorites. They also gave an outdoor barbecue pit with many meats and side dishes to choose from. The barbecue pit has limited hours, so be sure to call and check to see if the barbecue pit is open before you go. The barbecue pit is very popular, but I have only purchased food from there once. The chicken was delicious and my husband loved the ribs. As far as the sides go, t he collard greens, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, and steamed cabbage all received our thumbs up. Joe's Butcher shop is a winner that I will continue to visit again...

Great place I've been coming here for years everyone is helpful and very knowledgeable about the meats. The sausage is great and made in store as well as the Applewood smoked bacon... they even have a smoke house if you need anything smoked obviously call ahead for that. The meat is some of the best around and always fresh and display cases are always getting restocked with fresh meats. You can buy freely and not get the packaged deals those are mainly for costumers that are just looking for good deals. The store is clean compared to the other's and during deer season it does get very busy so make sure to call ahead as well since it's always packed.
