Something is really wrong with a salon where your stylist has the audacity to tell you to go home and correct your hair style yourself , without the fear of loosing a customer . Management must be needing stylists real bad to hire those who have no sense of customer service or even expertise in their job.
Saw response - unfortunately didn’t find a spot on how to respond to that hence hence editing and adding here . Every word that your stylist told you is untrue. I have been coming to your salon for almost two years .The least I deserved as a customers was a phone call to verify the statement made by your two month old stylist who said that inside where the front office was not even there - I stand by what I have reported she said . I am sure you will find out soon enough as she gets short with more customers .Staff were flustered by a birthday party that was planned inside the salon and their stress levels just showed in their behavior . I still feel you have a good establishment - could have shared the feedback on phone too but you chose not to reach out. It’s fine I have no intention of coming back and wish you the best with staffing .
Response to you latest edit - Your response and complete lack of reaching out to get to the bottom of the issue with a regular customer clearly shows how throwing the customer under the bus, the minute they complain, is your way of upholding the reputation of your salon and retaining staff. I first went in for a consultation and it seemed to go great. I did not pick up on any red flags that I normally would. I have long thick hair which seems to scare many stylist. Which is why I go for a consultation first so they know what they are getting into.
Upon service the cut was alright, but not what I asked for. The problem was with the wash and blow out. During the wash hands were just raked through my hair rather than massaged through. When that was done we moved back to the chair to complete a blow out. She had help because I have a lot of hair. The girl helping asked questions and was very gentle with my hair. While Johanna kept pulling and being rough. She even mentioned that she felt that is all she was doing. My head was in pain when I left.
I am most disappointed and the fact I went in for a consultation and she seemed to not mind the amount of hair. Which made me confident in moving forward with her, but after that treatment I do not recommend anyone going back.
When a stylist does not know how to simply brush from the bottom to the top or to hold the hair above the knot and carefully brush it out I think people should know what they are getting into.

Read moreEDIT 2/11/19: Thank you for the opportunity to give your salon a third try. Emily did a fantastic job on my eyebrow wax on my most recent visit. My brows are clean (no retouching from me required) and the shape is great. The private room for waxing (even just eyebrows) was also much nicer than having it done reclining on a salon sink in view of everyone else.
I have revised my 3-star review to reflect my most recent appointment, since it was much better than the experiences I previously reviewed. Thanks again. :)
Previous Review: I love the ambiance and decor, and the staff is so warm and friendly - I want SO badly to love this salon! But for some reason I always leave my eyebrow wax disappointed. Lots of stray hairs that get missed or the shape just isn't quite right. Maybe I would be happier with their other services but so far I've had an eyebrow wax with two different people and I still had to clean up my brows after both times.
