If I could give them 0 stars i would. The admission representative has no compassion or empathy towards a child that needs to have surgery, all they want to do is collect money. My child was scheduled for surgery and they wanted me to pay the out of pocket of almost 2,000 if not my child's surgery would get rescheduled. I wasn't aware of the out pocket expense so I only came prepared to pay the provider portion. We have insurance and the center was already billing them 9k. I asked to make payment arrangements. Pay ½ and then they would bill the balance in 30 days. I didn't bring my credit card so I asked them to write down my cc number and as soon as I got home would call with exp. Date and sec code. I live in Dallas, center is in plano. My daughter was placed next day as a priority case. The customer service representatives did not care one bit. I asked to speak to a manager to see if they would Authorize to store my cc card number and I call as soon as I got home. The rep which I didnt get her name (short lady) wouldn't allow me to speak to manager. I said I mean are you the manager, she said no walked away because I asked again to speak with the manager. The manager could not even come out to speak with me. Again, this is a childrens surgery center. If they are not willing to work with families whose children need to have procedures they should be shut down. I don't have medicaid and I wasn't asking for a free surgery. I just simply asked for payment assistance. The insurance was going to cover 80% of the procedure. Money Hungry center!!! Shame on you those 2 representatives that I spoke with during the check in. I was willing to pay just wasn't prepared. We ended up moving her surgery to Childrens Plano, which the Hospital was very understanding and willing to help with setting up a payment plan. Having your child who needs surgery and having a center who refuses to assist you is very heart breaking. That company should not be...
Read moreIt unfortunate I have to write this review. As far as the actual surgery for my son, this facility was great. Nursing staff exceptional and the facility very clean. The surgery experience went above our expectations. Their billing practices are why I'm leaving a 1 star. I am an RN and work in a medical office so I'm very well versed on billing practices for procedures. We paid a very large sum for my son's surgery out of pocket on the day of the procedure in March 2024. It is now almost September, and this facility is aware we have overpaid. They owe us $730 and have withheld it for almost 3 months saying they are still in an "appeal" process with Cigna. Cigna is stating that the claim is closed. Due to this, we will never use this facility again. We have called probably 10 times over the last several weeks and no one will return our phone calls. We had to physically go to the actual surgery center to get anywhere with anyone. And they are still withholding our refund. If you aren't aware, Texas Law states that facilities must return any overpayment to a patient within 30 days after determining a patient has overpaid. A practice risks Texas Medical Board action by continuing to refuse to refund overpayments or insisting that the practice retain the amount as credit against future services. This facility has not only been reported by us to the Texas Medical Board but also to the Texas Department of Health due to their failure to refund our overpayment for 6 months. I would highly highly discourage you to use...
Read more5/5 stars for the staff performing the surgery and taking care of me as they were all friendly and I had no complaints. 1/5 stars for billing. Places that try to collect prior to service should always raise a red flag. I explained to them how I’m fighting Code 3 Er which owes me 100 dollars from an overpayment since 12-19 and I don’t want to be in that position again. Ok, great I pay 1k vs their estimate of 2k. Turns out I owe 1100 after EOB. They then charge me 350+ dollars creating an overpayment. I tried calling they didn’t reverse it or refund me. They said they’re appealing for some charges that weren’t paid. I said ok, well regardless it’s an overpayment due to my max out of pocket so you won’t get that amount. They dismissed it and continue to hold my money. It’s very frustrating that these facility’s can and will hold your money for the longest period they can then issue a refund. I would not recommend this facility due to this if you have the choice...
