Can’t say enough good things about Melanie! A couple wks ago my 88 y/o mom called on a Sunday morning frantic because her basement & driveaway were flooded after some heavy rain and the flooding was getting pretty close to her elevator that she uses to get to her car in the basement garage. I started panicking because I didn’t want her elevator to get damaged by the water & how would I ever be able to get someone to come out on a Sunday to figure out why her sump pump wasn’t draining the water out of her house?

I had recently seen Melanie advertise her business on FB so decided to give her a try. I sent her a text with pics asking if/when was the soonest she could come. Much to my surprise, Melanie said she was just finishing up with another flooding job and would now be ok?!? SAY WHAT?!? Mel was there within the hour & spent most of Sunday afternoon evaluating mom’s basement & driveway pipe drainage, the surrounding city’s pipes, and helping to pump the water out of the basement to get mom by until she could contact the city on Monday to determine next steps. Needless to say Mel was on top of EVERYTHING and I didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING! She contacted the city, she contacted dig rite and she worked with the city to get all the pipes/ditches cleared and mom’s pipes cleared so her basement and driveway are no longer flooding! Great to have someone close by you can trust to get the job done right...

I wish I could give a higher rating, but after being left with this eye sore to deal with, I just can’t. I’m a small business owner and we used Barnes plumbing and septic to add plumbing to our basement for an in-home salon. The initial job appeared to be well done. But when their employee was jackhammering the concrete in our basement, he forgot to cover the outdoor drain and it filled with concrete so it would not drain. They offered to add an external sump pump to fix the situation which we were not happy about, but they said that the only other way to fix it would be to tear up our deck completely, and that would not be possible for them to do. They came yesterday to add the sump pump. It is huge and sloppy and messy looking and it is right at the entry way to the salon and now we will have maintenance on this piece of equipment for the entire time we live in this house due to a mistake that they made. The only other solution they offered us is to build a small deck to cover up the sump pump which I had told them that my husband was already doing.
