Nice displays, pleasant to view. Clean establishment. Beautiful items but buyer beware!!!! I was straight out lied to about an item. First she shared her knowledge about the subject coming across as an expect in the field. I was sold an item as an Fenton and told how collectable it is. She went into great detail. I asked her to write it down. She played me like a fiddle. A buyer needs to know what they are buying going into these kind of shark tanks but a business does have an obligation to be honest as to what they are selling. Interesting enough, the conversation I had with this sales person when we walked in was regarding the fact that no bags NOR PURSES of any kind are allowed. No accommodations for my health needs. Only air tanks she said. We talked about how sad it is that people rip-off others and how can a person sleep at night knowing they are taking away another person's living. All I can say is, Sleep well as you are knowingly misleading and deceiving people to...
Read moreA comprehensive blend of highbrow and lowbrow antiques and vintage styles. Most vendors are very, very well aware of current market value, so don't expect a deal or a steal. However, the variety is fun... Kitchen wear is balanced with jewelry. And gun cases... And lots of quilts. A worthwhile stop for anyone who enjoys the road less traveled.
Also, you CANNOT bring a purse into the store. Not even a small cross-body satchel. The Enchanted Frog has badass, old-school lockers with keys. Free to use. I loved picking my locker based on the key fob color and style.
The owners are aware and hands on... We wanted to view an item in a locked cabinet. Before we continue say, "Open-Seasme" the owner had the keys handy. Suuuuper helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Enchanted Frog to anyone on the hunt for a special/specific item. But casual or bargain shoppers may be intimidated by real/actual market/sale...
Read moreI'm a bit younger than your average antiques shopper but found plenty to look at that was interesting. They've added quite a bit of retro stuff recently in addition to the traditional pre-1950s stuff you'd expect.
The prices are generally very reasonable and set by each dealer apparently. With dozens of dealers and a huge mall, there's a wide variety of selection.
The mall itself is quite nice. A convenient location right off I-35, quaint on the outside, clean, comfortable and well lit on the inside. They often decorate for special occasions and have treats for guests.
The people working there were very nice and helpful and seem to all be renters of booths so were able to actually talk about much of the inventory as well.
It's right next door to a convenient gas station on the trip north into and out of KC. If you need a nice diversion north of KC it's...
