The Exchange — Local services in Pleasant Hill

Booked a night in the pink silo for my mom for her birthday. Super easy keypad entry and then when you walk in it smells SO good! The silo was clean, warm and comfy cozy! Kristen thought of everything; beverages on ice, snacks, s’mores + marshmallow roasters, Reese’s , Hershey’s, Graham crackers….and I never would have thought of it but the shortbread covered in chocolate with a toasted marshmallow in between was FIRE!!! Sitting out back with a fire overlooking the yard with a blanket was a vibe! Then my mom took a 90 minute soak in the tub and the water never cooled down! She was able to have a fire before bed with all her kids, then kick them out for a soak in the tub with provided bath soap and salts, dry off and warm up with the most comfy robe and lay down and relax in the coziest bed! It’s a perfect place to relax and regroup! The instant camera was also a neat idea and so fun!! We will be back for a girls night and Kristen sure knows how to treat her guests. She’s brilliant!! The coffee shop being open till nine is nice too if you’re in need of another...

On Tuesday 09/02 I sent a text message to the phone number posted, about making a reservation for Friday 09/05 for axe throwing. Friday rolls around and I still have no response. I text again asking to make a reservation for tonight (Friday) like I had asked for a few days prior. They respond and said they had someone available Saturday from 6pm-8pm. I reiterated I wanted tonight, Friday 09/05. They said they won't have any one available and apologized. Maybe had someone taken note or cared about responding sooner, they could have arranged an instructor. We gave 4 days notice asking for a reservation. I had to text twice to even get a response. Not good business practice, and highly disappointing. I won't be returning. I'm not the type to leave a bad review, but I will make sure to pass this along to family and friends....

Over the holidays I had the opportunity to host a wreath making event at the Exchange and I cannot speak enough words of praise of the venue and its owners, the Gray family. The silos have been converted so tastefully and continue to transform into a super cool spot for people and families to gather. The Gray’s attitude of giving is so very apparent through their serving the community and providing a caring and fun experience for everyone they encounter.
