Pleasanton Country Club — Local services in Pleasanton

Overall, this was a decent track. Nothing overly challenging, Basic Services, Priced Right.

Price - If you are military or first responder - DO NOT BOOK ON GOLF NOW! - it is less expensive to book through the course.

There is a range to warm up, but you get to shag your own balls and it is very small. There is a chip and putt area, but no bunker warm up area. There is a seperate putting area in front of the clubhouse, that was a pretty good representation of the greens and pace.

There are some very mature trees and the fairways can be tight because of them. The course is pretty simply laid out, but the one thing that I found to be a challenge was clear markings for the holes. Painting on the cart path or staking out signs directing players where to go would have been immensely helpful. There are a few holes, where you can get turned around if you have never played here.

The greens have some character to them. The warm up green is pretty good representation for pace and conditions based on what I saw and experienced. Same for the undulations on the actual greens too. Generally they were is decent shape, but most have crab-grass growing up that can cause your ball to go off-line. There are also areas where there there was bare grass and dirt, but they are minimal and improving based on what I saw.

Food and Drink was very limited. No Beverage Cart, and no food from what I saw.

Bathrooms need some serious work. They were quite nasty.

Pace of play was OK. I waited for a two-some 3 holes behind me so that I was not consistently crawling up the 4-some in front of me; which I did multiple times.

The name "Country Club" is a bit of a mis-nomer based on some of the other "Country Club" courses I have played in the past and within the area. The course was good for what I would expect of a budget course. This course could get really fast in the heat...

Good golf course but AWFUL customer service at the bar. We’ve had great experiences up until a woman named Erika was working. She was disgruntled from the minute we walked in. I ordered a beverage with olives and she literally threw olives into a separate cup, no garnish pick, no napkin or straw. Then we ordered an appetizer and we had to ask for plates. The table next to us was equally non-impressed. We didn’t order dinner due to her already acting irritated. She did provide great service however to her boyfriend or husband who drank like a fish at the end of the bar. Unprofessional and when you pay to be a member of a golf course you expect better. We will be transferring our membership or calling ahead to ensure she is NOT working...

Don't ever have a party for dinner here . Every ones food was cold . Every one food should of came out at once . But Nobody got the right order the forgot my shrimp and my shrimp kisses my tenderloin was cook good . But the other steaks were not cook up the way they ask for. Drinks were not giving to the right people. The only thing that came out warm was the bread pudding with ice cream They should had at least two servers to take care a group of 25 people. They clearly were not prepared even though that had 2 weeks to...
