Hickory Grove Farm — Local services in Pleasureville

We came for the strawberry u-pick. Our experience was no strawberries and a jungle of grass to get through to look for them. We barely scraped together a pint of semi-ripe berries after good 40 min of searching. Suggestion to owners: post when you’re running out of berries and tell people to come another day. Mow between the rows of berries because the grass was as tall as my toddler. We get and love the no spray part and being pollinator friendly but you’ve got plenty of growth around the patch to attract bugs. Nobody wants to walk away covered in bug bites. This experience definitely wasn’t worth the almost two hour round trip drive from Louisville and we will not be coming...

On a whim, my husband and I purchased some of the mild pork sausage at the Lexington Farmer's Market last weekend and it was absolutely delicious! Just soooo good! We loved it! I made a special trip to the Farmer's Market this weekend so I could get more and will probably be back next week! We would also like to try other products from Hickory Grove...

I met Ryan at the Lexington Farmer's Market. He was very informative and sold me a delicious Boston Butt that made some of the best pulled pork I've ever had. I look forward to tasting more Berkshire pork from these lovely people, I hope I can get a whole pig from them...
