Ive waited months to review this place to exhaust my processed deer meat. But after chipping a tooth on bone I felt I should review. I always butcher my own meat. I am meticulous with it. I took 40+ pounds of boneless deer meat to this place. I know for certain there was no bone fragments in it. All three doe were headshots. Because I took all boneless meat, I was told it would take only 7 days to process. I called after 14 days and it was still not done. It took 3 weeks to get it back. And I promise you it was not the meat I dropped off. Every roll of summer sausage was riddled with bone fragments. Every link sausage was riddled with bone fragments. And to add insult to injury, this guy made all of my summer sausage jalapeƱo cheese even though that is not what I ordered. He also made all my link sausage jalapeƱo cheese even though I specifically told him my kids wouldnāt eat it. However, he was able to charge me an additional $80.00 by adding jalapeƱo and cheese to all of it. Pretty crooked business practice. All this to say, if you are expecting to get your actual deer meat back from this guy, think again. To the guy that got my deer meat,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is ran by very friendly people, and they do a good job processing the meat. However, I have to give a poor review strictly because they are not prepared for any loss. I paid almost $1500 for an animal that was taken there only to be ruined in the flood with no backup plan. So just be warned, they do not carry proper insurance, and do not have any type of plan to make sure their customers are reimbursed. They did offer to process my next steer for free, but thereās no way I will take any animal there, knowing that itās such a big risk. Nice people but not prepared. Itās a very known fact that this location is in the low...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe dropped a live pig off at Reeds Meat Processing and noticed an awful smell at the facility. Just thought it was what a processor smelled like. Looking back I wish I just turned around. The meat we got back is rancid. None of it can be eaten. Something smells off when you smell the raw meat but when you cook it, it smells like the rancid facility. The meat is spoiled. Not edible. We are so upset that our project pig was wasted, all the money to buy and raise it and then only to process it and it is a complete waste. Waste of a life. Only gets one star because...
