New Egypt Speedway — Local services in Plumsted Township

I love dirt track racing!! Reality of my trips to New Egypt raceway..., I just do not enjoy the 4 cyl. Racing...I ride my bicycle faster then the cars race...they are junkyard scrap, and extremely boring...it will draw a certain crowd of people into view & drive..that is why it has the most cars in the races...trying to learn the sport of race competition!! BUT to me their racing is not interesting..Sorry, but if you learn how to drive a 300 dollar car, that is what you be GOOD at..so I wish they would find an alternate type of racing..to accompany the mods. THEY NEED BIGGER RACE SHOWS AT THE TRACK...WE HAVE A NEED FOR SPEED AS FANS , THAT TRULY IS WHAT I FEEL THE FANS ENJOY...I AM FROM PA. I attended Selingsgrove 1/2 mile Raceway very often .. and they had full size mods, sprints, winged and wingless sprints all the time!! They were very enjoyable and so super fast.. yes the did have a beginner's class, they just seemed faster?? So my wife and I do enjoy your track...You do need longer races, (more laps) another division, and I think you should start a 3/4 midget class...or something to attract more racers and more speed at the track...I attend Wall Speedway as well, I must say there have a big problem, with getting cars there!!! ..there no mods showing up?? Rarely any outsiders are racing with the local regulars!! To many tracks that are traveling farther for bigger pay pruse tracks, these cars are costly to race and maintain...teams need to win more prize money , tracks need pay a bit more..create more events...U need to have more special races with more laps.WE DONT MIND PAYING AN EXTRA 10 DOLLARS ENTRANCE FOR A MORE COMPETITIVE FIELDS....more class of races?..thanks...

I would not recommend buying tickets in advance. We purchased tickets for the monster truck show on September 6 at 7 PM. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm started that afternoon and never stopped, yet they refused to cancel the event.

They didn’t allow anyone to sit in the bleachers due to active lighting, until 7:30 (even though the show was scheduled for 7:00), claiming it was the State of New Jersey’s rule. To me, that showed zero common sense—during an active thunder and lightning storm, seating people in metal bleachers is far from safe at anytime!

The show finally started around 7:30 but was stopped again before 8:00. At that point, we left with no idea what happened afterward. The entire event was completely disorganized. The lack of communication, constant contradictions, and disregard for safety were shocking.

To make matters worse, many of us chose not to sit in the bleachers due to the lightning risk and stood on the sidewalk after they announced it was permitted. Moments later, a staff member came over and told us we weren’t allowed to stand there—yet another contradiction.

This was the most poorly run event I have ever attended. I will never return. Their lack of concern for public safety is...

I have been going here for years, great small local track.we went for there monster truck show, great show they put on. Would love to see them do a little more events that attracts more of a family event. Also not sure why but every single time we go there volume on the announcer talking is so loud it becomes very annoying to the point you can not even here the person next to you talk!! Also there speakers are pointed directly at you which makes it even worse. I wonder if anyone working there actually Read's these reviews? I would say no. Because after all these years the speakers volume is still so loud and pointed directly at you nothing has ever changed at this place. Would I still come here? Yes! Like I said in the beginning I been coming for yrs. Hopefully now that Raceway Park is no longer open maybe they can step up there game here and add some more family events.Bty the back to school monster truck...
