Having practiced meditation for many years, I was curious about Vedic Meditation as a way to deepen my own practice and to share it with family and friends who are newer to meditation. What I found through Rick’s course exceeded every expectation. He is an incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and kind facilitator who makes this timeless technique feel completely approachable and practical for modern life. What I appreciated most is how effortless the method is. It’s simple, sustainable, and designed to integrate seamlessly into your daily routine—no apps, no equipment, no elaborate rituals. As someone who has explored many forms of meditation, I can honestly say this is one of the most accessible and effective practices I’ve experienced. And for those who may be skeptical or overwhelmed by meditation in general, Rick facilitates a beautiful entry point. Since completing the course, I’ve felt a noticeable shift in my stress levels, mental clarity, and overall ease. There’s a sense of steadiness that stays with you well beyond the meditation itself. It’s also sparked great conversations with friends and family who are now open to trying it themselves. If you’re looking for a practice that’s grounded, powerful, and easy to stick with—and a teacher who truly embodies the wisdom he shares—Rick’s Vedic Meditation course is a gift. I couldn’t...
Read moreThis review is for both The Spring Meditation and the last instructor I worked with there, Maya Kumits. I have been attending group meditations as well as other courses they offer at The Spring Meditation since it opened and I've only ever had pleasant experiences there. It is a beautiful, well maintained, healing/calming space that is warm and loving. I have worked with each of the co-founders, all of which are truly delightful human beings whose energy you'll want to be around more after you visit. This past weekend, I had the honor of exploring Veda 3 with Maya. She is without a doubt, a knowledgeable, helpful and loving resource who aims to help people on their journey to acquire knowledge. She shared her wisdom, joy and kind heartedness while guiding us through this portion of the Vedas. If you have not visited here yet, stop by and check it out for yourself. Whether you are interested in learning about meditation, deepening your practice, connecting with the NYC meditation community, learning more about yourself and your evolution, there is something for everyone here....
Read moreI have nothing but good things to say about The Spring Meditation (and specifically the Vedic Meditation Course). I found The Spring through a dear friend of mine who completed the course and has been connected to the organization ever since. I was not familiar with Vedic meditation before taking the course (I always had used guided apps to meditate) and I'm so glad I found my way to this practice. The course was incredibly user-friendly and self-aware of the modern world that we live in. It was very informative and educational without being overly intellectual or theoretical. Even after a few days of incorporating this practice into my life, I feel more calm, present and aware of my mind-state. They also provide tools for ongoing support after the course is over, so that the habit is more likely to stick. I would highly recommend the course to anyone curious about Vedic meditation and with a desire to deepen their personal...
