I strongly advise against using the service department at Wood Chevrolet in Plumville. In December of 2023, I contacted them regarding my car. They actually came and picked it up as it was undrivable and I appreciated that. Josh seemed friendly when we spoke and it was quickly determined to be a blown head gasket. I was quoted approximately $1200 for repairs which I agreed to. I was unsatisfied with the lack of communication on how long the car would be in the shop as well as the progress. At this time, it was often Rick who I spoke to. I did not find him friendly. He was often short with me, as if I was doing something wrong by checking in. It took over a month, and an additional $2000 until the car was finished. I was told after so many miles, to bring it back to check the bolts as it is important to do so when doing head work. I was very surprised I was charged for this 20 minute appointment. About a week later, my car began to malfunction. This time, I took it to a local garage opposed to Wood. I was told Wood did not properly reconnect the fuel injectors causing a misfire in the engine. Another mechanic bill. Fast forward a little bit, and my car stalled. We discovered Wood did not replace the antifreeze reservoir, which was inflated, cracked and leaking. We had to purchase and replace the reservoir. At this time, we took the old reservoir directly into Wood. We showed Rick, explained our displeasure on having to replace it as well as discussed the other issues we've had. He was unsympathetic, but did take our contact information stating he would get back to us. He did not. Presently, I have not been able to drive my car for a month as our latest discovery of their work shows a damaged thermostat housing and possible issues with the water pump. This is now several issues that should have been fixed when the head gasket caused the problem. We trusted this business, we paid more than double what we were quoted and were treated with minimal respect...
Read moreThe sales rep that I spoke to there had a terrible attitude. I was interested in purchasing a used chevy trax, and his obvious cocky tone of voice told me immediately that he wasn't interested in helping or dealing with me. I was fully prepared to pay cash and purchase the car. I simply asked if the car had any rust issues, and his rude reply was "well, didn't you look at the pictures?" Of course I looked at the pictures, but I never expected that rude answer in a rude tone of voice. I wanted this salesman, since he was actually where the car was, to give me his opinion, since he was on site, but no, he decided on being rude to me. Guess he wants to keep all his used cars. Don't buy at wood chevrolet, unless you do it without asking...
Read moreMy experience doesn't even rate on the stars, I took my car there with a note detailing the work to be performed and stating that I would not pay for "extra" work. I received a phone call in the morning stating that the agreed upon price for the work had risen by over 250%, I asked them to then not doing any work to the car and stated I would be in later that afternoon to pick up the vehicle. Upon pick up I was charged for "diagnostic" work that was NOT asked for nor needed to perform the work to be done. I will never take anything back there or every look at a vehicle there. If you are considering doing either of these I STRONGLY suggest...
