My wife and I stopped in Choctaw Pocola on the way home from vacation several months back. We played slots for a few hours and then went on out merry way. A few weeks later we recieved a flyer in the mail for free play and free hotel stay so we took advantage of their offer. My wife, 14 year old daughter, and I loaded up for an overnight getaway. Upon arrival everything went smooth. We checked in paid the $50 incidental charge and everything seemed great. Our daughter did watched tv, did some arts and crafts, and enjoyed having the room basically to herself. My wife and I hit the casino and were practically playing sots all night. The next morning we checked at well before checkout time and went about our day. Next thing I know Inhabe a charge to my debit card from Choctaw for $150. My wife calls to find out what this is for and they told her out $50 incidents deposit had been forfeited and a deep cleaning fee of $150 was owed due to them finding drugs in the room. She advises them that they must have made some mistake because we are absolutely 100% certain that is not possible due to the simple fact that, first of all, we do not use drugs, and second of all we are on a family vacation and our daughter, who has never done a single drug in her life, was the only person in the room besides my wife and I. We left a message to have the hotel manager call us because she was out of the office at the time. We we’re told the manager would call back in the morning to speak to us regarding our situation, but there was nothing she could do without the managers approval. The following day we awaited a call from the hotel manager, but that call never came. The following day, two days after our hotel checkout, the $50 incidental deposit was refunded back to my account along with the extra $150 deep cleaning fee. That gave me the assumption they realized their mistake and did the right thing by refunding those funds. We still never received a call from the hotel manager regarding the incident, but we were satisfied with the outcome of our money being refunded. About a week or so later I received an email with another complimentary hotel stay offer along with free play and food credit. I called that morning and made reservations ans once again my wife, daughter, and myself loaded up and made the two hour road trip for another quick getaway. Upon arrival we checked in, paid the incidental fee and went to our room. Again, my daughter stayed in the room and did her own thing, while my wife and I went downstairs to the casino. My players club card was giving me a PIN error so I went to the players club to see if they could resolve that issue. Upon speaking to the rep at the Players Club, I was told a supervisor was trying to clear the issue up and it would be a few minutes. After 10-15 minutes of patiently waiting for the PIN error to be resolved, three hotel security guards walk up and ask to speak with me which I kindly obliged. They advised me that they were there to serve me with trespassing papers and serving me with a two year banishment from their properties. I was extremely blown away and totally mind boggled with this whole situation. After the confusion and shock and awe factor dissipated I asked them to repeat what they just told me. Again they stated I was being served with banishment papers effective immediately due to drugs being found in my room during the cleaning of my previous stay. They then advised me that they had to escort me off the premises. I told them I had a room and needed to collect my belongings first as well as fill my wife in on what was going on. I could not believe this. I asked why I was not told this prior to driving two hours and why was I allowed to book a room if I was banned. They had no answers. They agreed that Inshouldnt even been allowed to make a reservation. So not only did I waste 4 hours of my families time driving to and from Choctaw Pocola, I also wasted money on gas for the drive to and from there, they ruinwd what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable night of dining, gambling, and fun, and totally embarrassed my family by the way they handled the whole situation and wrongly accused us of leaving a crystal like substance in our room on a previous stay. They had no problem removing me from the property and serving me with trespassing and banishment paperwork. They made sure to get me there first so they could get their $50 incidental fee out of me first and wasting my families time. BEWARE AND LET IT BE KNOWN....THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN BAN YOI UNDER FALSE ACCUSATIONS! There are plenty of other Casinos near by that have much better customer service, are much more friendly, and appreciate their patrons. As you can tell, I am still bitter over this entire ordeal, and I am only writing this review in hopes of saving other families the hastle and embarrassment of going through what my family was put through. Read moreOnly 6 months into our move to Texas, this was our second trip to an area Casino, with the first one being Windstar. We will not be back to Choctaw. Thinking anyone who calls themselves a resort must have a pool we were surprised and disappointed that Pocola did not, forcing our two grandchildren to boredom. Fortunately, we were there for only one night for the Moonshine Bandits concert. When I called about the concert that were "lawn tickets, general admission only, they told me it was an inside venue and I did not need to bring my own chair because they were provided. This was important due to my walking condition. So, the second disappointment was to find it a standing only concert. The third disappointment came when the concert started 20 minutes late and then last right at 60 minutes. I've never been to a concert where the band played for just an hour. What a waste of money and time!!! The fourth disappointment came when checking out. Still cheerful because of my family's visit for the holidays, I walked out and told the desk attendant that we were leaving our two rooms. There wasn't a "have a nice day," or an "I hope you enjoy your stay." Instead, there was a snide glance at my hand carrying the rest of a 12-pack of beer we had taken with us and a "You're not supposed to have alcohol on the hotel grounds." We walked in the afternoon with 2 twelve packs that I sat on the counter while I checked in and nothing was ever said. However, instead of realizing that telling us at check out was TOO LATE, the employee opted to use those words instead of a pleasant farewell on our way out the door. Choctaw's failure is Windstar's gain!! We...
