I recently had the pleasure of visiting House of Candles, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I called to inquire about their services, I was greeted by a gentleman whose warmth and friendliness set the tone for our visit. His enthusiasm was contagious, and I couldn't wait to see what they had to offer.
Upon arrival, we were treated to a candle-making session that was conducted with genuine passion and care. Watching the artisans at work was mesmerizing, and their dedication to their craft was evident in every detail. What particularly impressed me was their knowledge of religious traditions, especially their expertise in crafting beautiful havdalah candles, which resonated deeply with their many Jewish clients.
This place is more than just a shop; it's a haven for meaningful family activities. The staff's warmth and welcoming nature made us feel right at home. I highly recommend House of Candles for anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience. Whether you're looking for a fun family outing or a special gift, this is the perfect destination. The combination of beautiful craftsmanship, friendly service, and cultural sensitivity makes House of...
Read moreVery nice and friendly staff! The guys dipping the candles had to deal with us for about 3+ hours and let me tell you they have the patience of saints! My dad is a very difficult person to deal with and he has a lot of dumb jokes and the guys were amazing with him! Our party ended up leaving with 6 candles (4 of which were custom made as we watched) and lots of other goodies! I was able to purchase a beautiful ring at a great price with a lifetime guarantee! And my husband purchased a marine Corp pocket knife which he was happy about. Also if you see brochures at you hotel or restaurant or anything like that check for theirs. There is a coupon inside. Not that the candles are a bad price anyway. Lots of fun and very interesting to see how candles are made.
The petting zoo is a cool idea but I felt horrible for the animals! The day we went was about 100 degrees with high humidity and all the animals were seeking shade. Not that it would help because it was still about 90...
Read moreOverall a really beautiful store with so much beautiful art on the walls. If you are visiting the Poconos this is definitely a place to stop. They also have some really amazing candle selections with really great prices too. At first I wasn't sure how scented the candles were because the ones that are unwrapped do not have a whole lot of scent, but let me tell you, as soon as I unwrapped and lit my candle, the smell was going all over my house. I have only lit it 2 times for a few hours at a time and it burns very well and there is still so much life left in it. They also have a place where you can see candles being made and carved and that was a pretty cool aight to see! They will make you your own candle if you request it. They also have a little bunch of animals outside, it was fun to look at the pheasants and chickens and one of the small horses came up to the fence so we could look at them! Very fun place, I...
