I was supposed to get my cable turned back on today. He was late, but ok. He hooked it up. He asked me if I knew how to work the remote control. I said yes. He said "are we good?" He turned to leave and I had to ask him for a channel guide. He had kept saying "you turned in your equipment last time?" He ran out the door as fast as he could. The cable box he gave me seemed antiquated. I turned the channel to my favorite channel, and the picture was a small square in the middle of the TV. It did not fill the screen and the settings button didn't work. I called Service Electric 5 times trying to get them to have him come back (he had just left 10 minutes before), but they kept pretending they couldn't hear me. I tried various ways to resolve the situation. At one point a woman was screaming at me. At one point I had left with an idea on how to deal with this and the technician had showed up at my door to give me my check back before I had even told anyone I wanted it shut off. I told them to shut it off and I would deal with it Monday morning and she said it was already shut off. I think what happened is the technician figured he could make a few extra hundred bucks and switch boxes when he came back and say I stole it. Called Service Electric today. They were quite unreasonable and said they were going to charge me for it. I am going to file a civil suit against Service Electric. This is what I clearly understand as things evolved. I don't have the money to sue Service Electric. When all this is over I am going to write letters of complaint to everyone I can think of. I have been trying to get this resolved for weeks. I keep getting the same two customer service representatives. One of them is the same woman who was originally screaming at me. She disguises her voice and pulls me into the conversation only to mistreat me and make unfounded accusations. The other worker seemed that she might be reasonable at first but she is not. I got the first bill and they recharged me the connection fee. It just goes round and round, the same games over and over again. I was trying to call them today and the same two workers were disguising their voices like each other and I didn't know who I was talking to. They shut it off a half hour after they connected it and I can't get it disconnected officially and get this nightmare over with. I had received a bill while all this was going on. I was charged the installation fee twice. I paid it because if I didn't I would have had more problems with them. They officially shut off my service on July 13. I received a small refund check today. It cost me $81.90 to try to hold them accountable. It did no good whatever. I am sure their phone recordings and the data from the cable box have been...

I have been having issues with On Demand for months. Called customer service when it stopped working first at night, and was assured they would call back next day. They did not..in fact, I had to call back 4 days later. I have had my system "rebooted" numerous times, and had 2 service calls which were a very temporary fix. The service guys were awesome, but they can only do so much with the defective service they have to deal with. Last night I had to call again when my On Demand stopped working in the middle of a paid movie. They again told me someone would call today. When that didn't happen, I called them again at 3:00 p.m., and was told someone would be here tomorrow morning. I then requested a refund for the movie, and some kind of reimbursement for defective service for at least 2 months. They said someone would call back or I could hold, which I did for 25 minutes. The rep who finally answered told me that On Demand is "free", to which I said that I was paying for a cable package that "includes" On Demand, and I don't want full reimbursement for cable service, but deserve a partial refund for this problem. I told them I would file a report with the Better Business Bureau if not helped in this matter, and I'm supposed to get a call back today by 5:00. Everyone needs to start reporting these issues to the BBB..our rates are outrageous compared to other companies because we have no choice, and the least they can do is fix the problem! BTW..they finally admitted this has been an area-wide problem. The serviceman told me the same, and they have been trying to get the company to do something about it for...

So Service Electric, working on cable lines in my area. Wouldn't know, company vehicle logo, not able to identify. Parked equipment in low part of my yard. Never knocked to say what there purpose was. NEVER asked if okay to park the HEAVY EQUIPMENT in that area. All day none of these professionals came to my door to ask...wow... When these professional technicians left WITHOUT the HEAVY EQUIPMENT in the lower end of my yard, I had to call! Really? As I spoke to person at Service Electric, that huge truck was there! I had to call for this company to pick up the HEAVY EQUIPMENT in my lower part of my yard. Disrespect of paying customer property. Disrespect of tax payer property.Disrespect of 40 year homeowner of Point Township... When, they showed up technicians gave pretty lame excuse as to why they parked HEAVY EQUIPMENT in lower end of my yard! RIDICULOUS excuse was not to block the road. Huh, dead end, not active roadway, just my home. Simply look at a GPS could have informed them, or a knock on the home owner door, even better, notice to property owner. Now we have to level out and plant grass seed. Service Electric. Wow Disrespect homeowners property! NOT Professional NOT Respectful. Simply, knock on a door or call or email, ya'll have that information...And check before parking HEAVY EQUIPMENT in a disrespectful manner of one's home and property. Service Electric need to remember respect homeowners and property. Disappointed in...
