Burnips Equipment Co. — Local services in Polkton Township

Bought a new Workmaster 25s in 2021 and started having drift in the front hydraulics after about 10 hours of use. I called and explained the issue to the service dept. And was told to bring it in to see if the work was covered under warranty. A week and a half after my scheduled drop off date, I get a call explaining the valve for the controls is bad....not under warranty as only the drive train is covered. Forget the part breaking at 10 hours and Burnips not standing behind the product, why have me haul my tractor the 20 miles across town for a hydraulic issue when they knew full well that hydraulics would not be covered? Tractors break, I can deal with that. But wasting my time and fuel for what should have been a phone call is unacceptable. Keep in mind, this tractor failed before the engine break in period was half over and I will be paying for parts and labor. P.S. I was quoted about 800 dollars for the first service cycle...I did it myself in about 45 minutes and 80...

Unfortunately, tractors are very complicated item. Some people on here reviewed and complained, but unfortunately, it’s the nature of this beast. I have encountered every mechanic in the place, and I will tell you, they are all hard-working and dedicated to their craft, and it is a craft. To have to break a tractor in half, Is it extremely complicated task that a handful of mechanics has the patience and skill to do so. They certainly have their busy seasons were there overwhelmed with work, that has to be done right now. The actual farmers know the difference between Burnips and let’s say green mark or some of these other companies. And that’s why they...
