This is a completely unprofessional place of business. I am from Anson County, grew up in Anson County, but I do not reside in the area anymore. However, two kittens showed up at my brother, and his wife's, house. My brother work long days, and my sister-in-law is out of town. After informing this location that I put the kittens in a box with holes, and that I needed to bring the kittens today because my husband is highly allergic to kittens, and one appeared to be injured from what I come see. I was told that I could bring the injured kitten, but to keep the uninjured kittened because they only perform intake Monday - Thursday, and today is Friday. I asked if they could make an exception because I did not want to risk my husband's life for an animal. They would not make an exception, so apparently human life is not important to the people at this location. Then, I was told that they wouldn't take the kittens from me because I don't live in the area. I informed them that my brother gets off work when they are closed, and that my sister-in-law was out of town. I cannot believe people really operate like this. This would never happen in the Raleigh area. Even when you try to do the right thing, it still gets you no where whatsoever!!! I would give zero stars if it...
Read moreWe found a stray on our property and we had no idea of the NC 72 hour rule...she is ours after 72 hours. I would have brought her in sooner but the intake of dogs was not until today. Anyways. I felt horrible. We would have kept her as our own but she needed a thorough medical workup that we just could not afford at the moment. We did let them know that we can foster her that would.not be an issue . We can love her and feed her and get her acclimated to life ...I wish I had all the money in the world to keep strays. It breaks my heart that people do not way the amount of love and care needed for an animal It's a lot more than just playing with them and feeding them. It's making sure they have a supportive thriving home life. Great medical care and love... consistent patience . She is deaf. That really broke my heart as well. We will keep this shelter in our prayers and be helping them somehow...food donation, time and talent....we will find a way to say thank you for taking Cora. Pray for Cora. That she gets a clean bill of health and she finds a forever home. Thank you...
Read moreUnfortunately I had to give this one star in order to right a review. I hate to see most people lose their job but I hope everyone of you lose your jobs. You clearly do not care about animals and mistreat them. How could you kill a little innocent puppy? We live in Ohio and when a friend shared the cute video of Shayla (again, an INNOCENT puppy!!), If she was still available, my husband was going to leave tomorrow to try to get her. You had so many offers of help and didn't care. Why would you work with animals when you obviously hate them and you don't think getting nipped by a puppy is normal. Please leave your jobs (although I hope you're all fired) and let someone love those abandoned babies. Hopefully someone will be smart enough to shut you down before you can hurt...
