I recently spent a week on this charming little island, and let me tell you, it was a mixed bag of 60s vibes, hidden beaches, and some oddly gelatinous steak. Let’s break it down.
The Hotel – Two’s Hotel
Two’s Hotel was my main base, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. Picture mid-century modern with all the groovy charm but without the weird shag carpets. The design is straight out of the 60s playbook, and as a fan of that aesthetic, I was in retro heaven. If Don Draper were to vacation here, he’d approve.
Dining – Gelatin’s Steakhouse
One night, I ventured out to Gelatin’s Steakhouse, and wow, was I impressed. The steak was tender, flavorful, and definitely not made of gelatin (despite the name). The service was top-notch, and I left feeling like I’d been personally serenaded by a choir of well-cooked meat. Highly recommend.
Activities – Goiky Park and the Beach
I tried Goiky Park because it came highly recommended, but it felt like every tourist in the galaxy had the same idea. Wall-to-wall people, selfie sticks everywhere, and about as peaceful as a rock concert. Hard pass.
But then, oh sweet redemption, I discovered the beach on the southwestern cape. It’s a hidden gem that deserves a standing ovation. Pristine, secluded, and absolutely magical—if beaches were graded, this one’s a summa cum laude. 11/10, would roll around in the sand again.
Other Notes • The Goiky Canal? Historic, sure, but also as thrilling as watching paint dry. I took a quick dive and got back out faster than you can say “bored now.” • There’s a local school that looks nice, but unless you’re into admiring educational architecture, it’s just… there.
Getting There
I arrived via a quick boat ride, which was both efficient and fun. But make sure you plan ahead—reservations here are as essential as sunscreen on the southwestern beach.
The Verdict
This island is definitely worth visiting, with a retro hotel to die for, a steakhouse that slaps, and a beach that feels like your own private paradise. Just steer clear of Goiky Park unless you enjoy crowds or have a selfie stick collection to add to....
Read moreDream Island is IDEAL!!! I love everything about it, robot service, casinos, restaurants, pools, etc. It's very luxurious and stuff, though, I had weird experiences while I was there.
I had an amazing time, though a random fire...? talked and told me I could go inside the gates just because I looked nice... EVEN THOUGH I CLEARLY PAYED. I stayed in this specific hotel, which was very nice, though, outside my window this deformed green creature in the shape of a two was announcing something about them being the host, and there were a couple of objects with faces too.. my favorite guy there was a random water drop, he looked nice :D Then there was this beautiful flower in the table with some weird purple berries next to it that are apparently named "yoyleberries" a weird bubble passing by told me that information, anyways, this flower presumed their beauty and that pissed me off I slapped it off my window and it did weird sound effects, something like "phew phew phew", then I saw this weird leaf outside my window, it was a red one, IN SUMMER.. I just stared at it until it came for me.. It chased me for 2,763 minutes until I called the local blocky's supervising agency thingy and they took down what the creature is supposed to be called "Evil Leafy" Then I saw this weird blue frog and yellow butterfly hosting in my other window, they talked about something of X's treasure, then this blue frog said something like "I can't let that happen! I must be X's ONLY treasure" and his eyes turned black until finally becoming normal... strange... I asked for some water, then she came.. This water drop's name was T. drop! such an adorable little fella, she gave me her plushie and left, I forgot about the water..
SPLENDIDOUS TIME 2,763/10 If only the weird "hosts"...

Upon arriving, the golden gates were beautiful and had 'DREAM ISLAND' written above the gates. There was a sentient fire man? It was extremely unsettling. They were literal fire, and had black limbs and eyes. Instead of normal country borders, the fire man (whose apparent name was Firey) asked me why he should let me onto Dream Island. I said I was on vacation. He accepted it, and open the gates to the island.
Inside the island, there were so many things to see, but here's some to my count. A five star hotel, a casino, six restaurants, and robot servants. It was quite overwhelming! I went to the hotel and checked in. It seems all the people here were objects. After going into my room, I turned on the TV, curious to see what they were showing. Turns out there was only one channel, and it was showing a show called Blocky's Funny Doings International. It was cool, I guess, but the pranks sometimes went too far.
I also found living numbers there? There was a blue coloured 4, a yellow coloured X symbol, and a green coloured 2. I wanted to say hi, but after watching what the 4 did to a living green gelatin, I decided not to. Speaking of gelatin, I went over to the restaurants, and found a place called Gelatin's Steakhouse. I went in and ate some of their steak (well done) and it was quite nice. It tasted of barbecue sauce, and a hint of pineapple? It tasted quite well, though.
The last thing I decided to do was try the casino. Although it seemed to be closed. Anyway, the 3 days I spent in Dream Island were all quite good. I loved the hotel room, it was very clean. Liked the only show playing on the TV, and liked the people. Although I would not go near the blue 4...
