The experience with the dolphins met our expectations. However, it was soured by the experience of reviewing the photographs being offered. We certainly expected & understood no personal photos would be allowed, in order to offer the professional photos being taken. That's not uncommon. And yes, there's the personal choice & option to not even review the photos. However, it was shocking that one photo was priced at $40.00, or all photos could be bought for $96.00. (a bit sly & playing on one's emotions given most people will want at least 2 photos - so, then common sense makes one feel pressured to get the entire $96 package.)
For what it's worth, it seems it would make sense, and not compromise the entire experience, by including 2 photos with the dolphin experience price. Yes, that would increase it, however, it wouldn't be felt that much when making the booking and more importantly would avoid ending the entire experience on a very sour note.
Based on your response, you seem to have missed the point I made about the entire experience being...
Read moreThe dolphin staff was very professional in explaining the procedure in the water, during the interaction, and allowing us time with the dolphin. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I would recommend it to anyone that has considered a dolphin swim. I also like the fact that they give the dolphins down time in a large tank when not doing shows. It can be v stressful for animals in captivity. It seems as if these dolphins receive very good care, especially due to the ages of some of them born at the facility. I was also impressed that they have a breeding program with 3 generations of offspring! This facility has a lot of history, and although it is certainly a tourist attraction...it feels more like an active study and education center. I am a biologist, and appreciate the fact that the professional staff are highly educated, and experienced in marine biology...that makes a big difference in animal care, and husbandry of...
Read moreI had a blast swimming with the dolphins, however I wish they would have given us time to take pictures of the dolphins in the pools, before or after we swam with them. The only pictures we got of the Dolphins were the professional ones of us with them, that they took, and they were really overpriced!! There were only about four pictures that I wanted, but I had to buy the whole package, which was about $60!!! That was an extreme waste of money!! 😮 Oh, when you enter the pool it was very slippery and dangerous!! I don't know what you could do to remedy that problem, but it was definitely a problem! To end on a positive note though, our guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable and informative, and we enjoyed our time with...
