Eagle World — Local services in Ponce de Leon

I went by this store the day before yesterday with my 8 year old daughter and wife of 37 years. My wife and I were taking our daughter to Ponce De Leon Springs to go swimming. When we went in to the store there was a young man with short hair behind the counter who had glasses on and another man standing beside him talking. I asked him a question that went like this, "what you know good?" He looked at me and said I don't know anything good, I responded, "Jesus loves you." He just stared and looked at my family and me. My wife said she smelled something good in the store, and I replied, yes it did smell good and his response to me in front of my 8 year old little girl was, "yea I farted." I told my daughter and wife to go get back in the truck and want to say that anyone who would hire someone like this is just as responsible as this wanna be thug. I can honestly say I will never ever go back into snake pit again. I highly recommend any God fearing man or women to stay away...

I've been going to this store since I was a kid. I live out of town now so it's sort of a treat to stop in. Service is always friendly, the atmosphere is so "down-home" and neighbourly, with people joking and laughing and asking about so-and-so's gallstones. You can pick up some fishing lures while you wait in line. It is comforting to find a place that time has not changed too much. Waynes is a good place to find traditional Southern treats that are not always available elsewhere these days (Rainbow Coconut springs to mind) and they have delicious breakfast biscuits. My parents live nearby and my mother often gets great deals on high quality meat at Waynes, and I have eaten enough of it to tell you that it is indeed high quality. So if you're in PDL, make sure you stop in Waynes and soak up that atmosphere before you buy your RC cola...

A great little convenience store in the middle of nowhere.

They have fresh meat cuts that never dissapoint. Prices are fair. You'll also find basics like onions, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. A small grocery section contains a little bit of everything else. They even have a nice little freezer section.

The pizzas here are so good. Our orders have always been ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes.

One of our favorite offerings of this establishment are it's breakfast selection! Biscuits, bacon, sausage, tomato gravy, grits, hashbrowns.....a breakfast lovers dream. Great for a quick bite to eat early in the morning to take with you on-the-go (there's not a dining area). Some biscuits will be put into a warmer after the breakfast station closes. Be warned they...
