The trails in the Peace Park are nice enough to walk down but it is disturbing that visitors leave so much candy, plastic water bottles and other things that hurt the environment there. Do the temple keepers not set out any regulations? One day I found a large bag of rice that had broken open and if small birds eat any of it, the rice will swell up in their stomachs, and they could even die from this. The Stupas are very beautiful with large crystals on them. They must cost a fortune. Is this where the donation money goes? My main concern, however, is that they eat meat at their functions. Read moreI have been going here for years and love the land and energy. They have the main area which I believe is open 24 hours. Inside they have pillows for meditation and a massive collection of crystals. There is a section of books you can borrow as well. However what we really enjoy is across the street. They have a few miles of land you can hike which have different areas with crystals and stupas. It’s pretty fun and even after going 3-4 times I would find other hidden n spots. Since it is a no hunting area you may run into deer or other wild life. They also have some animals to look at behind the main house. I always enjoy being there and taking the time to meditate...
Read moreI will be including photos very soon, also I'm not Buddhist however this is an awesome place to visit, the monks and people are SUPER FRIENDLY as you wud expect, I used to mow the fields here but I don't now, I want to express how much there is to do here, "meditation, alot of trails to walk, there is an amazing parrot 🦜 sanctuary there and whats better the birds will talk back to you, they have now included pigs and prize turkeys, I would very much suggest this place whether ur Buddhist or not...I'd give six stars if I could, but like I said I will be including up to date...
