We had the absolute pleasure of working with Chef Bria from A Cut Above Personal Chef Services for our intimate wedding dinner, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. At first, we were hesitant about hiring a private chef- it was something we had never done and we wanted the experience to feel authentic to us and our private ranch residence. We knew we wanted something that felt very special, but we were also concerned that it might feel over-the-top, stuffy, or inauthentic to the relaxed, meaningful gathering we envisioned. From the very beginning, Chef Bria put our minds at ease. She truly listened to us, taking all of our concerns seriously and helping us design a menu that felt just right. She struck the perfect balance—elevating the experience with her incredible food while keeping it warm, welcoming, and completely in tune with our setting. She accommodated dietary restrictions seamlessly, embraced the diversity of our guests’ palates, and ensured that every detail reflected our vision. If there was an option to give a ten star review, I would. Working with Chef Bria and Chef Andrew was a joy on all accounts. Their communication was timely, and clear. Their menu was beautiful and little had to shift because it was so wonderfully constructed. Chef Bria listened about the nature of our event and provided a menu to perfectly match. Some members in our group had some very specific and limiting dietary restrictions and the chefs were able to accommodate all of their needs with ease. Some dietary restrictions were totally opposite and still, it wasn’t an issue. 17 people served all weekend and nothing went wrong. Comparing personal chef companies, I found that A Cut Above offered better menus at a better price point. They also try to source seasonal and local ingredients which is appreciated. Chef Andrew was with us all weekend and was a wonderful presence to be around. Cheerful, engaging, and incredibly professional. By the end of the weekend everybody loved having him around! When the schedule needed to shift last minute he had no problem with making the shift. He even put all the leftovers together so that we could have a final meal with the leftover food after he left. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with A Cut Above. From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and thoughtfully executed. The menu was both elegant and delicious, with every detail planned out—including ingredient sourcing—making the entire process effortless on our end.

We used their services for a leadership retreat, and it was exactly the experience I was hoping for. One of the highlights was the interactive pasta-making session, which added such a fun, hands-on element to the evening. Chef Clay was absolutely amazing—warm, professional, and engaging. He created an atmosphere that was both relaxed and exciting, making the experience feel personal and special.

Beyond the incredible food and service, it’s clear that Bria, the owner, has poured her heart into this business. Her dedication shows not only in the level of care and detail but also in the top-tier talent she brings on, like Chef Clay. They even go the extra mile by setting the table beautifully and bringing fresh flowers to decorate the tablescape, which was such a thoughtful touch.
