Absolute blast for a family vacation! The river is spring fed so the temperature of the water is 58 to 68 degrees year round. That might sound cold, but during the hot summer it feels really good. If you have kids, I highly recommend a raft as there is zero chance of tipping over and you don't have to worry about losing your cooler or valuables. The raft is a little slower than a canoe but you can basically bounce off of things and just keep on going. For the more adventuresome the canoe is the way to go, it does take some getting used to but it is fun. The views while on the river are just amazing, plan to see quite a bit of wildlife too. It took us about 5 1/2 hours to complete and for beginners it was pretty easy and the current only got strong near the end, where we did have some troubles because there was a fallen tree in our way. But all in all it was a fun experience and I would totally recommend it to anyone wanting to go canoeing, kayaking, or tubing down a river, for anybody experienced...
