Awful customer service 😡 Horrible experience. I purchased a bushel of females & a dozen of male crabs steamed, paying $201.00 total. When I got home I was disappointed to find that my crabs were cooked along with everything from the bottom of the ocean. I had sea weeds, grass, some kinda white/green gunk on them along with the seasoning. I called back and spoke with Ashton expressing my concerns with the appearance and quality for the amount of money I paid. She gave me a whole speech about how sorry she was and stated she would put my name and number in the book for my next order.. stated I will make sure and take care of you. On May 4th I called to place my order and reminded her that my name was in the book but, she never said what the plan was for making it right. She stated taking care of me just meant she would make sure that she fix my order, would clean them up so that they are all nice and pretty for me. I thought that was how crabs were to be sold anyway 🤷‍♀️. Appearance and quality is everything when your running a business. And the pics they posted on their page is not at all what mines looked like. When I’m spending my money I want my stuff right. This was not right. I would rather take my business to someone who is concerned about the customers experience and will go above and beyond to earn and keep my business. How lucky y'all are to have this local resource! We are visiting from NY State and while exploring the area, were looking for some fresh seafood to cook for dinner. My wife and I are self-described foodies, and our top destinations for fresh seafood include San Francisco, Cape Cod, and along the western coast of Ireland. We now have to add Poquouson, specifically Bill Forrest Seafood to that list! We got blue crabs fresh from the bay, and they were stupendously fresh and sweet. The staff were fabulous (very friendly, helpful and engaging - a delight to visit with), the fish couldn't be any fresher (crabs were being unloaded and sorted right in front of us), and service impeccable (we were there mid-morning so they provided us with some ice, and because we were just visiting they shared some of the local seasoning mix with us as well!). The crabs remained unbelievably lively 8 hours later when we unpacked them for cooking, and the meal will be added to our "most memorable"...
