Po Folks Produce — Local services in Port Allen

The variety of items here are staggering. From having worked here while I was in high school untilI graduated (back in 2004) I know the owners and their business practices and I can honestly say they have the customer's wants & desires at heart. While most produce is locally grown, there are some that are from out of state, etc. From boiled peanuts to wooden hanging swings, they've got it all. A little bit of everything representing the heart of Southern Louisiana.

Prices are very, very reasonable, cheaper than your typical supermarket. And, of course, the quality of produce is much better than your traditional stores. Give this place a visit, I guarantee you'll want to go back again and again.

▪》Fruit baskets are always a great gift and are filled with fruit from top to bottom; none of that grassy stuff you'll find underneath store bought ones with only a few pieces of fruit on top making it appear full. *Offers custom made fruit baskets with your choice of add ins like seasonings, pralines, etc.

I've been coming here every month. I make trip from Iberville parish every since we were out riding one day and came across it I've always loved this place until today. I only get to come out once a month because that's like my treat to myself to be able to come here so I usually get about $40 $50 worth it may not seem like a lot but it is to us it is . I went to the register and she said she was waiting on another customer who had forgotten something I have no problem with that I understand and I told her I'm fine and then the customer came back put something on the counter and then walked off again the other end of the store and I just looked at her and she just shrugged her shoulders like it didn't matter I didn't drive one hour one way just to be treated like I had nothing better to do than for her to wait on another customer when she could have taken care of me or at least showed a little bit of compassion or respect to me I've always been treated well there everybody's always been friendly but after this I'll never go back. and these days and times you don't know someone's story and what they may be going through. At the very least it was poor customer service. Disappointed...

So, we left a review about the bad service given to us last Thursday morning between 9 and 9:30 a.m. for 2 reasons. 1- to inform the management of what was going on in their place of business .... I know if it was my livelihood I would want to know. 2-to inform others.

As you can see by our other reviews, we tend not to leave bad ones. I don't like to complain.

But, I am irritated because I will get no satisfaction for the way I was treated, I liked the thought that I was buying local goods I really enjoyed my previous visits there 99% of the time. The ladies were always friendly and actually spoke to us. Now Pierre Part store will get our business.
