Loooooong story short! I started LSCPA in '18. My divorce started 10/'19. I had to withdraw since I couldn't concentrate. Too much stuff was happening. Me not having any family down here, becoming a first-time single mom, dealing with the family court system (wasn't by choice) and spending over $12k to fight for my boys, the constant manipulation and so forth.... I went back to Lamar in 20'. I had to redo my CNA class because I withdrew while I was enrolled in that class. I finished my prerequisites and have to sit out for a year to enroll into the surgical tech program. I finally got accepted into the surgical tech program and finished! I graduated on my youngest son's birthday (8/9/24). And took my national boards 8/15/24. I had some amazing teachers! They stood by my side the entire time. Even when I wasn't a student anymore during my divorce, they always checked on me. -I am a single mom. -my biological family is in Biloxi, MS -I have some amazing girlfriends here that helped me when I needed it -my teachers made sure I finished the surgical tech program (even with an ongoing court case)... Don't even know how many times I was drawn into court 🤦🏾♀️ Moral of the story is... Please NEVER...

(This is an actual experience I’ve had there) Upon going to the Dean, I was told this behavior is okay because “they work long hours”. My solution to this problem would be to stop eating snacks all day and maybe to work, as my tuition pays for their salary. Once again, this is a common problem. Every single time I have gone into the financial aid office I have...
Read moreI attended LCSPA years ago and found the educational quality to be in line with Lamar University were I ultimately obtained my BBA and masters. My real problem is that recently I have been helping a family member enroll and have encountered significant problems with the financial aid department. It has taken over 3 months and still no resolution with that department in getting loans established. I have never had so much trouble with financial aid at LU. Generally LU financial aid would be processed in less than a month without a problem. They are also much more helpful there. Would recommend that students go to LU and not waste their time dealing with the inefficient systems and...
