Bayside Marine Inc. / Shallow Stalker Boat — Local services in Port Isabel

Would not recommend this company. We purchased a used Shallow Stalker boat from them in 2022 we had them redo the floor and inspect the entire boat to make sure all maintenance was up to date. 2 months later the boat gets delivered to us at a halfway point the repainted floor was full of dirt stains from dirt landing on it before it dried we ended up having to scrub the boat 3 times to fully get all the dirt off but whatever we were happy to finally get it. We took it out in the water 2 times before the motor completely died while we were driving it. We had to get towed back to the boat dock right before sun down with a baby on board. Called the manager he offered some ideas for my husband to try and the boat seemed to run fine. We take it out again a few weeks later and once again dies while going 30mph once again we need to be towed. We also found that the spark plugs needed to be replaced on it despite the manager saying his guys checked everything THOROUGHLY and everything was PERFECT, more lies from him. We had to drop the boat off with him so he can fix the issues and he decided to put a different used motor on it. When we finally get it back it seems to be working fine since it’s not shutting off out of nowhere but now we find out that the tilt is not working!! We were so annoyed that we didn’t even bother calling the manger after so many back and forth my husband just fixed it himself. Fast forward a year later my husband got new tires for this 2019 trailer that once again, was in GREAT CONDITION, according to the manager when he sold it to us. Come to find that every single bearing needs to be replaced on a barley 5 year old trailer! The bearings are useless full of water and loose. Extremely disappointed with this company and this manager, DANIEL CORTEZ. We didnt spend 100k on a new boat from them so I guess they figured they can give us the bare minimum service and send us off. If you buy a used boat from them don’t take their word that they did what they said they did and instead inspect it yourself and save yourself the hassle...

Bayside Marine is all about making you feel at home, and my experience at Bayside has definantly left a lasting impression on me that I will not forget. Their ability to allow you to fully customize your boat has made buying a boat feel more like building a boat. I definitely recommend visiting Bayside, wether it be for business or just to look around, no doubt you'll have the time of your life....
