OTR Driver here. I been here many many times always to pickup, yes they are very slow, average is 3.5 to 6 hrs. For you that are worried about your trailer being rejected, the accepted trailer inspection company is Limons Trailer Service in Victoria on US- 59 North, bring your trailer there, they will inspect it, seal any cracks, holes, repairs, etc, and will give you a inspection form that you bring with you to Formosa, you give the trailer inspection form to the dock loading office when you dock.
The protocol here for picking up a load is as follows for Gate 4, enter at Gate 4 Truck Entrance, get in line (use to be you parked in lot and walked up to guard, that has changed), when you get up near the guard shack stop sign, bring your load appointment number, truck #, truck license plate #, trailer #, your drivers license, and you will have to sign a copy of facility rules (no guns, acohol, drugs, pets, passengers (unless your a team CDL), and fill out their appointment form, you'll be told to pull your truck up onto scale in front of you, after weighing empty and they inspect quickly the inside of your truck and tool box compartments, you will need to pull off scales, go up and turn around at lot to left and exit back out thru guard get in right lane. Than go and park in the staging parking lot on your left hand side, there you will wait for a company employee escort, usually in a pickup truck, and will follow him through the facility and to dock area he escorts you to. Must have two load lock straps and put these in back of trailer. You will be shown which dock to dock at, which you generally have to wait for one to open, they generally use building with 4 docks, for dry vans. After you have docked and your tandems are slid to rear, go inside and check in with the dock office dude, and give him your info and the trailer inspection form, showing on it your trailer has passed for floor, ceiling, walls, and doors, you cannot stay in your truck while their loading, their is one restroom near waiting area inside, no air conditioning as you wait, big fan only. After loaded, slide tandems, you will be escorted back to guard/Gate 4 where you scale and checkout. If you choose not to get your trailer inspected at Limons in Victoria, TX, you may risk a rejected trailer. Hope this helps those drivers that have never been here before. Also no cameras, acohol, drugs, cell phone use while driving on property, pets, passengers. No ovnp, and they have platform gross scales only, they do not have nor do they provide axle weight, even have a small sign on their guard window saying so. Now here is another twist on the ovnp, if after Gate 4/after business hours Gate 4 is closed and they are finalizing trucks getting loaded, they will escort you through the plant paved roads over to Gate 2, and it takes like 10- 15 minutes to follow the escort thru the various plant roads, at Gate 2 there is a guard/scale, you will scale your load, and checkout, they will allow you to ovnp on the large paved/well lighted parking lot on the left hand side, Porta potty on site in lot...lol.. All I can say is they must not care about paying for detention, as their very slow...

Read moreFormosa Plastics is a prime example of corporate negligence at its worst. Not only are they polluting our environment by carelessly disposing of plastic nurdles into waterways, but they are also knowingly releasing toxic chemicals into the air—chemicals known to cause cancer.
According to a report submitted by Formosa to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, their polyvinyl chloride unit emitted 58 pounds of vinyl chloride into the air. Vinyl chloride is a dangerous substance directly linked to cancer, and this level of emission is completely unacceptable.
This company consistently puts profits over the health of people, animals, and the planet. Their actions harm ecosystems, endanger lives, and threaten our collective future. We must demand accountability and push for stricter regulations to prevent...
