Read all the way through. Well, the night started out great with me and my girlfriend and her three nieces all in their late teens and our two kids both eight years old and my brother and his fiancĂ© and four kids playing and having fun at the park right there and throwing the football around and enjoying the evening, watching how to train your Dragon. But then the night during the next movie, Lilo and stitch turned out to go very poorly a bunch of other kids from other vehicles and all of my kids and my girlfriends nieces and my brotherâs boy all chose to get in a big group and run around and play nighttime tag around the park Like Iâm sure a lot of people did growing up at the drive-ins. A couple of the employees came out and decided to walk straight up to my group and in front of my girlfriend who is black and confront us, but did not confront any of the other families with their kids that were running around Before they got to our vehicle. She was a short hair employee and was very disrespectful and rude, even though right when she did talk to us and tell us that we needed to quiet down and not run around, I had all of my kids sitting in their chairs and up in my truck, not causing anymore noise, but the employee proceeded to get aggressive and power, hungry and confront my girlfriend about the situation that had already been taken care of. She kept repeating the phrase. You need to identify your children, and even though I corrected her and said, why do you think that I donât know who my children are? She kept repeating it and moving closer and closer into my girlfriends personal space all the way to the point where my girlfriend reaches her arm out and couldnât even extend it all the way, or she would have touched the ladies shoulder to show her that she was too close. The lady then proceeded to call the cops and lie saying that my girlfriend had put her hand on her shoulder and then telling them all of her license plate numbers the employee then got the owner to come down, even though we had already been packing up to leave because then they asked us to leave and not be able to finish the movie over kids playing and laughing and having fun over at a park. They acted like we had committed some crime or broken a rule of the drive-in property, but we did not resist on leaving because at that point we had felt disrespected and bullied for no reason my girlfriend currently had already driven almost halfway out of the drive-ins and one of the neighboring cars that their kid was running around with all the group asked me if there was something wrong in her kid do anything wrong I said no your kid did nothing wrong by having fun and playing and running around, but I asked her for her number as a witness to the situation that happened as she was giving me her number the owner and older gentleman walked up and started making threats to me, saying that I donât need to talk to the other customers as if I donât have freedom of speech or cannot talk to another adult being an adult I told him that this woman asked me a question and Iâm gonna answer her and I also then proceeded to tell him that I had to strap down my mattress safely and pick up all my stuff in my chairs to make sure I wasnât leaving anything behind or wrappers or garbage on his property. He then threatened me saying he was on the phone with the sheriff and was reading the sheriff my license plate number again, even though I told him very calmly that I was leaving and that I donât understand why heâs still acting rude and disrespectful. In my opinion this drive-ins needs a very big eye-opening restructuring that employee with the short hair the woman needs to be fired, and the owner needs to learn how to have respect for his customers and to deal with things without escalating them. He needs to learn how to de-escalate them Again. Nobody had anything wrong or broken any laws rules. This was all over a bunch of kids, not just my kids but a bunch of kids running around in a group playing at the park and laughing. I am very disappointed and will not...
Read moreThey opened late and started the movie late. I went with a bunch of my friends(16-18 years old) and we went on the swings and goofed around and a women told us to not get on the toddler swing and climb on top of stuff. Which I can understand why we should follow that rule but the way she told us was not nice. We also wanted to park next to each other(we took two vehicles a SUV and a truck) and the rule is that all trucks vans and large vehicles park in the back 3 rows. But the only truck that was in those 3 rows was my friendâs. The same women told us in an angerly tone that we arenât allowed to move our cars even before the film had started. And she didnât tell the other trucks that they shouldnât be in the front row closet to the screen. First film was pretty good. Iâd recommend driving a car that has a good sound system. After the first film my best friend and I wanted to go to the swings again. So we enjoyed our time for about 10 minutes then rejoined our group. That same women came to our car to tell us just because you ran doesnât mean you are off the hook. You canât be on the swings during the movie. We werenât on the swings during the movie. We headed back cis we thought the second movie was going to start. We didnât even see the women come our way. After the second film we just left. Food seemed pretty over priced but what would you expect. Iâm giving my review 1 star cuz of the women. I honestly felt pretty targeted from her. (Also the women is an employee of the drive in) I would give my review 3 or 4 stars if that women spoke to us in a more kindly manner or didnât speak to us at all. We are just a bunch of Mormon kids wanting a night together as we watch a couple of films. Reading other reviews it seems that this place canât get good employees that can be nice to another human being. I wouldnât make this place your first choice. Take the longer drive if...
Read moreI was in high hopes for this place to remind me of the great times at the drive-in I grew up with, but it let me down. Maybe this is due to the times changing but when I grew up (not that long ago) it was nothing to fire up a small bbq at the drive-in and grill up a few hotdogs for the family before the show starts. The employees here walk around with flashlights while the movie is playing and periodically shine it into the back of your truck or car to make sure there is no consumption of beer or liquor, If there is youâre asked to dump your cooler out or leave. The entire place smelled of strong manure, almost unbearable depending on where you park.
I went to the concession stand to order food prior to the start of the movie, a simple order of 2 hotdogs and french fries. I waited 40 minutes for our food, after standing in line for 15 minutes to order. I wasnât too upset as they were slightly busy. I was lucky to only miss about 10 minutes of the movie my family paid to see because they mistakenly started showing the incorrect movie and staff didnât realize it until 10 minutes into it. I asked what the hold up for the food was, thatâs when they noticed my food had been sitting behind the counter but my ticket number or pager was never called, so I was handed 2 cold hotdogs and a cold order of french fries with ranch for $20.
I asked for a radio to listen to the movie with as it was advertised on the website for $5 but when it was handed to me, none of the employees knew if it even worked or how to turn it on as it was a new radio they just purchased and I was told to âfigure it outâ.
I rated it two instead of one because the facilities were clean and the employees were clear and honest about the mistakes that were made.
I wanted dearly for this place to reach expectations but due to no competition other than Port Townsend, I guess they...
