Dollar General — Local services in Portage

I was so happy when this placed opened but it's going downhill fast! Milk was $2.40 when they first opened now its just shy of $3. They were totally out of Kool-aid for 5 months. Since COVID there cleaning supplies are almost always empty and they leave large box filled carts blocking the aisles. Several areas never have stock... like the scented wax. I always would get some from here but it's been months and they never order scents when they sell out. Truly its more of a manger issue this store has with not ordering what the customers are buying. This store is in a great location for this area it saves on having to go all the way to Stracks for a gallon of milk... but many times they're out anyway. There's so much potential to be a great store. I'll continue to shop here because of its location but I really hope they hire someone they can do some...

I made a special trip to this store one night, there was 2 workers and Patty told us that they were closed, due to lack of staff out was only 8pm. The problem I had was they, both of the staff, Patty and not sure the other employees name were sitting outside smoking. Therfore in my opinion ONE of them could have been watching the truck and the other inside by the register. The store is amazing I finally made it in there yesterday 1-17-20. This was my 3rd attempt to go there. I love all the options that are there. Reasoning for the 2 star was because of the day that Patty gave my Family (from out of town) and I a hard time right before Christmas. It made me feel bad not being able to get all I needed to finish...

Went into the store on the 2/14/2020 and the store was a mess and had a musty smell staff one of the staff was very rude to both my fiancé and I been to other dollar generals in the past and I’ve never seen a store in that much of a mess it was literally disgusting I went to get some bacon and there was one of the bacon bags was obviously open and spoiled all I can say is I will not be returning to that store do to the smell, mess, spoiled food in the cooler and the level of disrespect and rudeness of the employee...
