Our first encounter, we went in and the sales rep was showing us items we didn't even need. We were just in looking for a mattress, plain and simple. We were taken to the expensive corner where they wanted to show bed sets that can adjust angles, temp control, light up, save your settings, anti-snore functions, basically the most expensive display piece. Terrible tactic. Definitely not what we asked for which was to just find a bed I am comfortable with. Keep in mind I can't sleep on the mattress I have now and have terrible back pain from it. I just wanted a mattress I could enjoy. And they kept coming up every 5 minutes or so instead of letting us actually try the mattresses and get comfy like you're supposed to. Once we found a mattress they told us it would only take 10 days to get it in stock. That was my first encounter. The second encounter we came in to find a frame a week later. We wanted something with storage. We were shown around the store and was about to be led to the most expensive storage piece to settle on it when I, myself, spotted one that the sales rep didn't even show us that had almost all the features of the expensive one and they didn't even show us the one I picked out and settled on. Saved us about $500 too! We got it added to our shipment and readjusted for better financing. And they said the mattress would be in later that week and we could expect a call to have it delivered any day. A week came and went, no call. I call the location, they give me a 5 digit number to text or a customer service website to contact. Nobody actually picks up and talks to you. So I did both. And both the text and email took several days to get back with us with a generic response with different eta dates scheduled another week to 10 days out. Come on now! My boyfriend had to go in person to figure out what was going on because their system just said "sorry for the invonvenience." You mean the little inconvenience that I can't f-ing sleep?! He had to go in person to find out what was going on and found out the original shipment had water damage and had to be replaced. Based on the other reviews, it was dropped in the ocean. And they didn't think to call us and let us know? And they swore up and down it would only take another week to 10 days? Well its 2 weeks later after my boyfriend went to figure out what's going on. So our frame was in stock the whole time that I know of. And this mattress, the most important part, originally expected to be 10 days to order in, has so far taken over a month now. I'm done! We gave them by the end of today to get it delivered. It's 7 am now so they have about 9 hours to get it here or we are going down there tomorrow and canceling the whole thing. What a joke! "Sorry for the invonvenience." KMA. I'm the one who hasn't slept well in over a month. How...
Read moreWords cannot express the hatred I have for this store. It has been one thing after another with this store. I would not advise my worst enemy to go here. There were quick to take my money when I found a couch and a couple beds I like. The store salesman, Hector promised me my furniture would be delivered on the 15 and not to worry. I was told I would get a call Thursday night to set up delivery time and after it getting a little late in the evening I called and they told me my furniture minus one part of my sectional was going to be delivered on the following Tuesday. I went into the store the next day as there is no direct number to the place and complained. My money for the delivery would be returned in a couple days and now I had to rent a U-haul drive far to the warehouse to get the furniture and carry it myself up three flights of stairs. The salesmen also promised me the other part of my couch would be in no later than October 2nd. To continue with how horrible this place is, I went to the warehouse picked up the furniture and the beds only to find out when I got home that there were pieces missing from each bed and the couch. Also the footboard was the incorrect size and so were the wooden slats. So much of a wrong size it ripped and damaged the inside lining of the bed. I called took the pieces back and exchanged it for the right size. Apparently a queen footboard and queen slats were in with the wrong headboard. They also gave me the bolts and screws that were missing from the bed and couch. This place should really be called less furniture for more. Things only proceeded to get downhill from here. I called multiple times checking on the status of my missing sectional piece. Every time I called they stated It will be there October 2nd. October 2nd was always the date. Fast forward to tonight 9/27/18 when I called to check on the status of my missing piece and the lady reports to me that it is delayed and it will not be in until late October. Apparently, there is a loophole stating the date is only an estimated date and promises mean nothing. If I knew it was going to be this much of a hassle I would’ve spent the extra couple of hundred to go somewhere that puts the customers as a priority and not as dollar sign. I’ll be lucky if I get the missing piece before the new years. Oh wait it gets better- the moment that they find out the delivery is changed they don’t have to notify you. They only have to notify you 4 days prior- which we already know didn’t happen the first time so why should I expect more now. I would give it less than 1 star if I could but the man Julio in the Portland warehouse was amazing- super nice...
Read moreThe only reason I'm not giving one star is because the couch itself was great. However, not only did one cushion get torn up from people sitting on it within a year, but I have had one helluva time getting a replacement. I paid for a replacement cushion in July and sent them photos of the torn cushion at their request. Delivery time of the cushion was 4-8 weeks, but it took the whole 8 weeks plus two days, and when it arrived, it was only the inside part of the cushion. The technician who delivered it asked if I still had the casing. No, it was the casing that was bad in the first place, per the photos I had sent! In the 8 weeks it had taken, the cushion had been torn up even more from being sat on, that it was even worse and had to be thrown away. Also, I had in no way been informed that what was being delivered was only the inside part. I had been led to believe throughout my entire correspondence with this company, that a replacement cushion was being delivered that day, not just the foam part that goes inside of it. Fast forward 2-3 weeks later, and the cushion is delivered again. This time, I had been led to believe AGAIN that it would be the completed cushion because I had called them and emailed them about it, and the entire reason for my complaint was the fact that it had not been the completed cushion. And AGAIN, what was delivered was just the inside foam part. They had called and left me a voicemail that said "the technician is on his way with the core but we are still waiting on the casing". What was the point of even sending a technician to my house again if they still didn't have the completed cushion that I had asked for? This has been one unpleasant experience from start to finish, over the course of 4 months so far (July 24-Oct 24). I'm never using Mor Furniture again or recommending them to anyone unless they do something extremely outstanding...
